Here is the text from the ad on CL. I will do a deal for CR members only. I will be gone most of 2016 and can not bring myself to let this car sit. It needs to be driven.

"You are looking at the cleanest E55 AMG for sale in the country. I have extensive records from all previous owners and can present them to any serious buyer. This E55 has also been upgraded with quality performance parts resulting in 600hp+ range. All the work was done at a professional shop with attention to detail. The car is up to date on all maintenance needs. New wheels were installed 4k miles ago with brand new Nitto tires (one wheel has some rash, pictured). No expense was spared. Clean and clear title in hand. 86k miles on the clock. Car will come with a second set of wheels and winter tires with 90% tread on them all. I get compliments all day about how clean this car is. Just had the paint corrected and sealed with Nanohide wax technology ($1,500 value)."

Your thread about buying this car was entitled "The day my life started." Shouldn't the For Sale thread be called "The End of the World," or something at least as dramatic? :gabe:

Just foolin', boyo. I hope it goes on to another good owner and you find something you like even more.

Pulled this from the thread about the day your life started:

Haha I really do love this car. I hate to sell it because I know at some point in the next few years when Im home more Ill buy another one. For now, it pains me to see it sit. Its like a champion stallion not being put in the race and just sitting in a cold, dark stable for months on end.

Shots fired...

:)

I would be in a modded CTS-V if it was AWD. Otherwise, I wouldn't trust myself in anything with that level of power or something like this MBZ given it's all delivered through the rear wheels only. Trust me the roads are safer this way :p

I hear you!

I had the same fear, believe it or not this thing handles very well and the electronic nannies keep me in line as long as they are turned on! haha
