My LeBaron is bananas...B-A-N-A-N-A-S

So, after getting close to buying a MINI Cooper out of nowhere thanks to my wife (and happy we passed on it), I jumped out of the frying pan into the fire.

Similar to my story about the Lincoln, I was driving in Canfield, OH for work this past Wednesday, when I rolled by an old auto shop where this thing caught my eye. Got details from the shop, called the woman who had owned it for 16 years and struck a deal. Made a visit back yesterday and picked it up.

1985 Chrysler LeBaron convertible

Pale yellow/tan interior/tan top

2.2L turbo

Just under 40k (after trip back) original miles

Records going back to 1987 - same shop serviced the car since original owner had it out of warranty.

Working A/C, working cruise control

No rust!

Got it for a very good price so the plan is to flip it or use it in FL. Putting new tires on it, and fixing the radio which is acting up. It's my first turbo/automatic car, so it's a lot of fun and pulls well (140hp/160tq with around 2700lbs). Having fun cruising in it!

Take it to Florida. You'll get good money for Mint Convertible Lebarons down there. They're the rage amongst the lo-key chamilionaires.

I'd just keep it TBH, I mean what better Fl car to own? Except for the fact the Junkyard in South Naples has a Corner on the market, dudes a straight up asshole. Parts might be hard to find but still.

Dump the Caddiler, keep the Lebaron. Fix your boat :)

^^ one of the best kits available to keep that baby is top notch shape even down in the Florida Sun. Water will bead off that top like the hood of a nicely coated car.

Good thing you dodged that bullet. The people who paid asking price for the Cooper led you to purchase a 31 year old yellow K car.

:funny: Nice find. I think Jon Voight had one identical to yours. May help you sell it someday.
