Versluis
There is some speculation that the only thing the car had was hellcat brakes and the demon wheels, which means it may have been testing the wear patterns on the tires. Does that mean it still qualifies as an SRT car with the special list and all that? http://www.allpar.com/news/2017/05/meet-the-300c-hellcat-widebody-37582 Unless I'm totally off, those brakes looked like standard SRT300 brakes. Looked like silver two piston compared to one the size of our faces. Edited May 23, 2017 by Versluis
Mallard
Unless I'm totally off, those brakes looked like standard SRT300 brakes. Looked like silver two piston compared to one the save of our faces. The are the smaller Brembo package that comes on SRT Core or Dodge Scat Pak. Mallard
We do not plan on asking over MSRP for any that we get. But have already taken two $5k deposits and have a couple others ready to do the same. One of them agreeing to let us keep the car for a few months to show and such. Unfortunately the allocation doesn't open until next month. Who knows how many we will even get. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Demon pricing was just announced: $83,295 MSRP + $1700 gas guzzler tax + $1095 destination = $86,090. The Demon Crate, passanger seat, trunk carpet, and rear seat are each $1 options. Other options (not $1) are: 18 speaker Harman Kardon sound system ($995) Leather/alcantara front seats with heating and cooling, heated steering wheel, power tilt/telescoping wheel, floor mats, and bright finished pedals ($1595) Red seat belts ($195) Satin black hood ($1995) Satin black graphics package, which is satin black hood, roof, and rear deck lid ($3495) Sunroof ($4995) Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
caseyctsv
that's much lower than I anticipated. I still find it unlikely you will be able to touch one for that.
Geeto67
Demon pricing was just announced: $83,295 MSRP + $1700 gas guzzler tax + $1095 destination = $86,090. The Demon Crate, passanger seat, trunk carpet, and rear seat are each $1 options. Pricing is pretty good, not that I can afford it, but still - doubt you could build an equally as fast car for the same money. Other options (not $1) are: 18 speaker Harman Kardon sound system ($995) Leather/alcantara front seats with heating and cooling, heated steering wheel, power tilt/telescoping wheel, floor mats, and bright finished pedals ($1595) Red seat belts ($195) Satin black hood ($1995) Satin black graphics package, which is satin black hood, roof, and rear deck lid ($3495) Sunroof ($4995) I forget, does the Demon come with A/C? Is there an A/C Delete and Radio Delete option? I honestly can't think of why someone would want a sunroof, speakers, or a cold weather package in a drag car but I suspect about half of these are going to be bought just so someone can dick wave that they have the fastest production street challenger. I am disappointed with the graphics package which is literally just a flat sheet of Vinyl covering the hood trunk and roof. I was hoping for something retro like the shaker stripes dodge did recently on the challenger. I know they are running out of retro stripe designs from the original cars but something that paid tribute to the original ramchargers race team would have been cool: I am however excited by the return of F8 green to the challenger - for those that don't know, F8 is the paint code for a legacy Green color for Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge. From 1969 to 1973 the F8 paint code was "Dark Green" for Dodge, Jade Green and Forrest Green for Chrysler, and Ivy Green and Forrest Green for Plymouth. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170414/d39275d40d5c188c2d59494d01a1a0a8.jpg
caseyctsv
I do like that green. There is a gray Challenger Hellcat up at the Delaware Dodge dealership that just looks menacing. It is not a color I have seen before - I think it is called Battleship Gray.
Mallard
F8 looks great on the Challenger. There is no radio delete or A/C delete option. The S/C uses the A/C to cool the charge air and prevent heat soak in the staging lines and you use the radio to customize/access many of the features on the Demon. They added all of those options in case someone wanted it to be a comfortable street car or a dedicated drag racer. Geeto67
demon in all the available colors: I am bummed that dodge now uses Tor Red for it's red color - it used to be Plymouth's name for Hemi Orange. I get why they can't use Hemi Orange because the color is actually red and not orange but still. I think Dodge needs to cycle in some of these old rejected names, they could get away with some of them now: Catch Me Copper Unforseeable Fuicha Statutory Grape Gang Green Well Red Cost Of Living Rose Fisher Body Rust Hi-Ho Silver Frank Lloyd White http://maxwedge.com/articles/highimpact.php I don't know why but "Unforseeable Fuicha" is my favorite. Geeto67
do you think the Demon flares will be available OTC to fit to regular challengers?

Mallard
do you think the Demon flares will be available OTC to fit to regular challengers? I'm sure someone will order the parts and try. There is a pic floating around AllPar from inside the plant before the flares were installed where you can see how the fenders were modified. SpaceGhost
Dodge doesn't want dealer markups, and is doing something about them. http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/a10160467/dodge-challenger-srt-demon-allocations/
