Turbs3000
So at the beginning of this year I made a bit of a career change and started working for Manheim Auto Auction in Grove City. I handle a few different accounts but most notably is a rather large repo account. I thought I'd start a thread to just post up some of the more interesting cars we get in and are for sale to the public. Maybe some of them can go to some good homes. Hopefully this thread is ok, feel free to let me know if it's not. I do not benefit from cars selling high or low in any way. For example in tomorrow's sale: 2010 Audi S5 https://www.manheim.com/publicauctions/vehicleDetail.do?auctionID=OAA&saleDate=20170418&saleYear=2017&saleNumber=16&sortKey=1&sortDirection=asc&consignor=REPO&index=285 2013 Mercedes S550 https://www.manheim.com/publicauctions/vehicleDetail.do?auctionID=OAA&saleDate=20170418&saleYear=2017&saleNumber=16&sortKey=1&sortDirection=asc&consignor=REPO&index=234 2012 Infiniti M37 https://www.manheim.com/publicauctions/vehicleDetail.do?auctionID=OAA&saleDate=20170418&saleYear=2017&saleNumber=16&sortKey=1&sortDirection=asc&consignor=REPO&index=269 2007 BMW Z4 https://www.manheim.com/publicauctions/vehicleDetail.do?auctionID=OAA&saleDate=20170418&saleYear=2017&saleNumber=16&sortKey=1&sortDirection=asc&consignor=REPO&index=
2 Sweet
How do you like it there so far? I've always been intrigued by the thought of working a job like that
BStowers023
Can you post what the above cars go for if they sell tomorrow? Kinda curious. My sister and her fiancé buy and sell a lot of cars from there. They've mostly had good luck with a few bad apples

Geeto67
Man, those things were driven hard and put away wet... Or...since they are repos, they were driven normally but nobody has cleaned them since they got taken away. Except that S5, someone beat the piss out f that. Essentially yes, just come get a number and bid. The majority of the cars we run are dealer only (cars coming from Chrysler, BMW, Nissan, Mercedes, etc) but all the repos are open to the public. All the processes and details are on the website. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk

Turbs3000
How much do these things sell for? on average that is... Like anything, it's all over the place, I've seen cars go for half what they should have and I've seen cars go for 20k more than they should have. There are good deals in every sale, there are also alot of not deals in every sale. 90% of the cars sell to dealers so obviously they think there is some margin in them. Honestly for 110k and being a repo that S5 was stupid clean, it surprisingly ran well too. I believe it sold for 12.5 and after talking with the dealership who bought it they were willing to pay more if needed.
coltboostin
Repos are still clean title correct? None of these links work for me BTW. I assume you cant sit in/drove/start the car prior to action? Can you proxy bid?

I assume you cant sit in/drove/start the car prior to action? Can you proxy bid? The titles have to be present to be cleared for sale, any title issues total loss rebuilt, theft, etc are rare but announced as such. All the links are dead because those cars sold today so now they will start loading in the cars for next week. You can proxy bid as a dealer I'm not sure if you can as the public. You are welcome to walk the cars, start them up, and move them forward and back but cannot drive them.

Mace1647545504
Years ago I was there with a buddy of mine that had his dealers license there was a cts-v there and the book was like 20-22k, which was out of my price range. As I looked at another lane I heard the auctioneer say sold for 14k, I ran over to my biddy and asked if I heard right abd he said yes. THis was a repo acution. My buddy was at the next dealer auction and the guy brought the car back and it sold for the 20k the manual said it would go for
