Hey all-

I am listing this for a friend of mine. Very rare only 1 of about 2000 cars ever built. 5.0L, 4 speed auto, 103k miles, does not currently start but the engine turns over. It has been parked for about 10 years but ran before parking. It was his father's car. Will currently need towed from worthington. It could probably be parted out for a lot more than asking price. If it doesn't sell AS IS, I am going to help him get it running by spring.

$2500.00

These are really cool underrated cars. They made 4,318 of them, but the automatic is rarer because it was a nearly $300 option. In case anybody wants to know what makes the King Cobra more special from a Cobra II or v8 mustang II:

It says "4-speed manual" but the car looks like an automatic. What auto trans is in it? Is it the stock one or did someone swap in an OD.

Is that a factory color?

I don't know if that paint is original to the car, but that color looks like "Tangerine", which was was a factory color for Mustang II's, Cobra II's, and King Cobras. The paint code is 85 and the data plate should confirm that it is the original color. Because this is a mustang, you can also get a "marti report" to confirm the car's options, color, etc...

Man...if it was refund season and not xmas...

Hey all - does anyone have a better feel about what these cars are worth? I threw it on a bunch more sites today and have two people in less than a few hours willing to drive hours to buy it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks

My only concerns would be lack of the rear wing (is it there somewhere?) and the rust you can see on the inner rocker when both doors are opened...

A needle scaler looks like it could clean that up, that is also very minimal for that car.

I still believe it’s worth more than the asking price.

Not really, mustang IIs are loathed by many. Maybe it's like $500 too low but not the $5k you are suggesting. $5k can get you a clean cobra II that runs.
