I picked this up in a trade last summer from an older lady. It was her husband's car and she didn't know much about it. He passed away and the car sat for a while before she decided to list it for sale. She swore up and down that it only had 64k miles on it, but it's probably 164k. She also didn't realize it was a salvage title (I believe the car was in an accident many years ago).

It's a 5.0L 305 TBI V8, 4-speed automatic, t-tops, true IROC. All original, hasn't been hacked up or messed with. 100% stock. Engine runs very smooth and quiet. Brakes feel great. Shifts perfect. Steering feels fine. It doesn't leak any fluids whatsoever. It sat in the garage all winter and started right up on the first try. The heat works great. The A/C doesn't work but it's all there, and if you jump the circuit the compressor will kick on and doesn't make any weird noises or anything.

The passenger rear quarter panel has some bondo cracks and a little rust. The rest of the body is pretty clean. The clearcoat is peeling on the hood and roof, but the paint still has some good shine. The windshield has a crack, the dash pad is cracked, the tires are old (but don't leak air). The rear hatch "pull down" needs fixed. It rides rough over bumps, so the struts could probably stand to be replaced. The t-tops leak. The tach doesn't work and the volt gauge only works sometimes. It's an old third gen Camaro.

I don't WANT to sell the car, but I'm at the point where I want to buy a different house, or buy a 6th gen Camaro. Maybe I'll do both. But one of the two will likely (hopefully?) happen in the next year. Either way, I'll either need the extra money or the extra space, so it doesn't make sense to keep this.

Asking $3,000. I sincerely doubt you'll find a better IROC for the price, especially in Ohio. Look on craigslist or autotrader and you'll see what I mean. If you're interested in knowing more or you want to check it out, please let me know. I'm hoping I won't have to deal with craigslist.

I've never seen one with a bright red interior before. The Burgundy interior sure, but not the bright red. The Trim tag lists the interior as "Dark Carmine" which I have never heard of before.

In case anyone is interested the data tag indicates a 2.73 rear axle ratio (GU2 code), and the 170hp 305ci V8 (L03) with a 700-R4 trans with overdrive (MD8 and MX0).

If anyone wants to decode the rest of the tag:

There are a decent number of options on the car like tilt column and factory tinted glass.

oh man that makes me miss my IROC. That porno red interior is just the best

Hell yeah. I know I'm going to regret getting rid of it. My brother thinks I'm an idiot for selling it lol

Christ dude, this thing screams Joe Dirt and all the excellent things that come with that lifestyle.

Looks like a ride that someone will have a lot of fun in. GLWS.

Do you have any pics of the interior?

No, but I'll take some this weekend.

Thanks for the link. This has the red/white "Deluxe" interior. But it also has crank windows and manual locks. It's a weirdly-optioned car

Third gens are going up in value and clean ones are hard to find. Plus there are tons that have an LS swap. I’ve thought about doing that myself. GLWS!

Thanks! Yeah, the prices on these are definitely going up

GLWS...getting pretty rare to see one of these cars around. My 87 also has the Carmine Red interior, was actually a pretty popular color..especially with the Bright Red exteriors. It is amazing how much these cars are going up in value. Definitely going to cost you much more to replace it later down the road.

Yep :(

I should have asked more for it. I listed it on the Dayton (NOT Cbus) craigslist this afternoon and I already have five different people wanting to check it out this weekend

I had a guy look at it today. Another waste of time because people can't read. I have about 14 others I still need to respond to. If anyone from CR wants to come look at it tomorrow, let me know ASAP, I'll be around all day.

Here's the interior pics (please excuse the filth....haven't made the time to clean it up yet)......

You should post this on the 3rd Gen Fbodies worldwide Facebook page. It's very active and a ton of members.

Good idea, thanks. I posted it on the Ohio 3rd gen FB page, but didn't think to post it elsewhere.

Someone is coming to look at it tomorrow morning, and I have someone else tentatively scheduled for the afternoon if the morning person doesn't show. We'll see.

I would also throw it on thirdgen.org if you have not sold it yet.

Yep, I should have started there. I'm already a member so that's probably the next step

I'd love to throw a take out lsx/6 speed in it and roll the fuck out in it. Just can't justify it right now.

Exactly what I would do if I had the time/space/money.

Craigslist is going about how I expected. Tons of emails, a couple "serious" buyers who never showed up. Lots of wasted time, but them's the breaks.

Wow looks really nice. I would grow out my hair and daily drive this beast. If I didn't own a truck I would already be at your house. Good luck man I can't have a 4th car in my driveway.

I figured this would be gone by now, but once again craigslist is proving to be a shit show
