coltboostin
How snug are the alignment dowes for the front sub frame? Many cars I have seen are always a little off on reinstall and need alignment great work BTW!
Lauren
Everything I've read since I haven't touched any suspension components no alignment is needed. Obviously if I have issues I'll have it aligned.
Lauren
Welp both the inlets front and rear and got it ready to be pit back together. The rear turbo was warrantied out by BMW at some point as it looks new compared to front turbo. Even has new hardware.
Lauren
Full turbo back exhaust ready to go on. Also inlets moved from driver side to passenger side. Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk

Lauren
Well this car is done now with the exception of paint and body panels. All engine stuff is done and its a blast to drive. It won't see the road though until its all put together. I'm in no rush. Here's how the engine bay turned out with the inlets moved to the passenger side. It sounds incredible. Coolant resivoir moved to the driver side Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
STEVE-O
I like those inlets much better than going behind the engine and in front of the belts and fan shroud
Lauren
They are hands down one of the worst installs but they flow the best. Relocating the coolant tank also sucks.
STEVE-O
Rather that short term pain then have a belt chew through a silicone intake hose haha

zeitgeist57
Looks great but why didn't you polish the headlights while the bumper was off? Thing would look like a 50k-mile car...
Lauren
I tried to polish them lol. Ordered LcI headlights.
Smokey
Bumper looks great. Headlights look like dirty poop water. Glad to hear you’re replacing.
BBQdDude
won't the air intakes being in the engine bay suck in a lot of hot air VS using long tube intakes ?
CRed05
I'm sure fresh air is being directed towards it through the bumper, plus it's a turbo, so it will get even hotter before going through the intercooler.
Lauren
The relocated inlet are dyno proven 40-60rwhp gains over stock location inlets. They are much more free flowing and do not taper down at all. So now its not sucking anymore hot air and losing horsepower versus OEM location. Plus they look cooler haha
Trouble Maker
Use some of that headlight polisher on your phone's camera lens while you are at it.
