wagner
This was a terrible crash to see happen live, knew it was bad right off the bat. I won't post any photos from the crash or the video out of respect for the racer. There are some situations where your number is just up... http://www.dragzine.com/news/top-sportsman-racer-alexander-dies-injuries-atlanta-crash/

wagner
Yeah, getting t boned at 200mph is bad news. Sad to see another racer lose his life. I've seen a lot of cars get piled up at the track, this by far was the worst I've ever seen. It just shows that even with all the right safety gear things can go wrong in a hurry. A racer also died in Texas after his dragster cleared the sand trap and ended up in a creek. I think after this year I'm going to look into going to an 8.50 cert cage in my car. Do I need it, no, but I would rather have the extra pipe even running bottom 10s.
DKilbourne
I've been 140 at the track without a bar and I look back at that and wonder why I would tempt fate. I need to get my car up to speed as far as safety equipment. Not worth it to die hitting a wall when it could have been prevented.
