Lauren
The house in Bama has a huge private fenced in back yard that back up to a forest. I always said when I had space I would get a great Dane. Well we got one. Named him Forrest which I thought was fitting for big dopey guy living in Alabama haha. He just turned six weeks and I can bring him home in two more weeks. Got him from an awesome breeder here in Ohio. I picked him out when he was one day old. El Karacho1647545492
Good luck. My buddy got a great dane/mastiff mix puppy at the beginning of this year. He's about 7-8 months old, 100lbs now. And he's FAST.
Richard Cranium
We adopted a 2 1/2 year old dane this past summer. He's a handful, but he's also a trip. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=935&pictureid=9142 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=935&pictureid=9143 Just a big baby. He has no idea how big he is, or how strong he is. All that and he isn't even a large dane. He only weighs in about 135 - 140. Forest looks like an awesome pup. I'm a little jealous that we didn't get a pup. Hope he works out for you.

El Karacho1647545492
Talk to a dog trainer about harness vs collar. The trainer we use, Craig Richardson of Richardson K9 (retired Marine, all around great guy in Baltimore OH) insists on collars for training, he's adamant that harnesses develop more bad habits.
