Rally Pat
Does anyone have any information on making power steering lines or have experience with doing it? What about any local hydraulic shops? I will need some lines made for a system that will include a GM LS Pump, a Mustang Hydroboost, and a Porsche 944 steering rack. Thanks! Cordell
Conversion fittings and AN lines can be made to work, otherwise I’m no help.
ODoyle
I know carquest on the east side did it at one point. If you know the fitting size you can use PTFE braided hose and hose ends.
vonrottes
I made the Hydroboost lines for my truck. stainless braided PTFE line, and steel fittings. Honestly it was easier than making fuel/transmission lines using the aluminum AN fittings. Go to your mail order site of choice and just search power steering fittings I wanna say for a Metric GM pump and a HB you are gonna need 16x1.5 O-ring adapters if you go with AN for the Porsche rack I have no idea. Crossle
Message Dad on this one if you want to have someone else make them, he had someone make a high pressure PS line for that Bluebird motorhome he had for like 2 weeks. It was super easy and reasonably priced if I recall.
