New ride, finally settled on a truck.

Already seeing the mod vs warranty issue, lol. I was told by a friend that this truck hits the speed limiter at 98mph. That'll kill quarter mile fun.

Would just turning off the limiter show up as a "tune" at the dealer?

Should my friend just have a full Dyno tune done?

Thanks for any advice you can give him.

Here is a weird fact. My '15 (5.3l FFV), '16 (5.3l), and '17 (6.2l) Sierras had a 98-mph (160 kph) speed limiter, but my '18 Silverado (5.3l) had a 112-mph (180 kph) speed limiter.

Have you actually taken your truck to its top speed?

Made a stop by Dynotune Motorsports today. Just stopped in to check it out and meet Brian. He hooked up to the truck and found that the ECM is not locked, so I have some decisions to make......
