gillbot
Don't forget the part where it's been sitting in the grass/mud under a bunch of shade trees. :dumb: As soon as someone tells me something has been sitting, I assume it’s a rusted pile underneath and where you can’t easily see. Otis Nice
Worst part about that car is the red interior.
Mace1647545504
Worst part about that car is the red interior. Not a fan of red interiors...I always called the gm red whore house red
Geeto67
Lets see...... - no title - FWD only version - Autotragic - hasn't run in 3 years About the only thing interesting in this car is the color combination. for 1991 there were 1363 Artic White Steath ES's made and fewer than half had a red interior, meaning this is 1 of a couple hundred cars made in 1991 in this combo. Is it worth looking over the other headaches? no way, but it is still neat to know.
Otis Nice
Neat to know they realized they wouldn't sell many with that fugly interior.
spankis
Not sure how I missed this thread. Among Stealth/3000gt bros, that interior is referred to as "Porno Red" lol. I bought a pretty similar 93 Stealth ES from a neighbor years ago, like 2007ish. These cars really never seemed too prone to rust actually, and mine was rust free after years in covered storage. Even so mine was a bit of a basket case from all the sitting, and it needed the water pump/timing belt maintenance done also, among other things. She was a fun car, never real fast with the 3.0 DOHC non-turbo motor, but entertaining for what it was with 230ish FWD hp. Mine did eventually spin a bearing after a year or two of enjoying it, and it got a stock rebuild. After some pain associated with getting it back together again I just lost interest. Couple years after selling it I heard it jumped timing on the new owner even with a new factory mitsubishi timing belt, pulleys, tensioner, etc. Ultimately crunched some valves as it is an interference motor. They're neat cars when running well but more temperamental than they should be, even with all the right maintenance. Regardless, after lots of love and labor the car turned out nice for what it was. Before, when I got it: After, a few years later, with my favorite combo of factory Stealth R/T and 3000GT VR-4 pieces: ** For the OG's who remember, Rolla actually did the paintwork on this car, and welded up a mandrel-bent exhaust from the header back lol. Not sure if he's even around anymore. Edited November 25, 2020 by spankis

Geeto67
I've always loved the looks of these cars but heard they were maintenance nightmares, esp the non-turbo ones because of corners cut in the 3.0L engine.
