adamgh81
Friday, myself and another RC51 took a chance on the dreary weather and headed SE from Pickerington to McConnelsville, Marietta, Athens, and back. It had rained Thursday night, so we were cautions to watch for washed up gravel onto the roads in corners, but it wasn't as bad as we had expected. Luckily the weather held out for us even though it was overcast and looking pretty threatening to pour a few times throughout the morning. By 2pm it was sunny and getting warm. Here's our route and report of the roads.256 - Nice and boring13 - More of the same37 - Getting a little twisty as we got closer to McConnelsville (we passed on 555 as we had other plans, but it looked tempting as we passed)60 - From McConnelsville to Marietta was nice and twisty but foggy as it was right along the river7 - Under construction and detoured, missed our turn to 550, backtracked 1/2 mile and back on track550 - Crummy patchwork and residual slick mud on some low areas from the previous nights rain until we got into Athens County, then the road turned great!! Awesome elevation changes and twisties until the 550/377 junction, it calmed down from there. We were tired as it was our first real ride of the season on the RC's after 150 miles of fun and took the easy/boring hr ride home via 33.I think our next route will include 78 to the Ohio River. Here are some pics are here from the ride. Enjoy and ride safe!

Well I did get a 2.5 hr ride in the AM while I was supposed to be at work, but that was to and from the dentist lol.
