JonS
Anyone in Columbus really good or recommended for setting up suspension? Saw Ruben @ 35motorsports mentioned on the board but heading out to Indiana isn't too doable for me right now.Would like to have two bikes looked at. Depending how close you are to the average person, your bike may come fairly close to 'ideal' settings for road riding. I got my suspension done at Mid-Ohio on a track day by Dept. of Suspension guy...and I noticed a big difference on the track. I took it for a ride around my neighborhood after my track day...the suspension sucked for normal riding.
JonS
Sucked for normal riding? How so? Whats the A & B comparison there?
yotaman88210
It wont "suck" for normal riding. It depends on what you are use to I guess. If you want it setup to handle better at track speeds, or fast street riding it is going to be a little more stiff. Id much rather have a stiff suspension than a sloopy one. Zorro
Sucked for normal riding? How so? Whats the A & B comparison there?I took mine for a ride around my neighborhood...and there are potholes (filled and unfilled) everywhere. The suspension felt very stiff. I haven't taken it on any rides outside of this. I prolly went 50mph max...and I could notice a difference and I personally didn't like it.I really don't have a scientific comparison for you. Sorry. I know of another person who rides an 08 CBR 1000rr who runs advanced at Mid-Ohio. He regularly frequents Deal's Gap and is no slouch when it comes to riding. He said he was faster on the track after getting his suspension done, but slower at Deal's Gap. So...that's my two cents.
