oldschoolsdime92
Hey everyone, The family(mom dad sister girlfriend and I) have been planning a trip to myrtle beach for quite awhile. Well long story short due to medical reasons mom is not able to go. My girlfriend and I have the time off, and are trying to find somewhere to go from the 8/7 to 8/15. Preferably beach as she has never seen the ocean. Any suggestions?

Disclaimer
Report: Ohio beaches rank 2nd worst in nationhttp://www.wkyc.com/news/local/news_article.aspx?storyid=118789&catid=3CLEVELAND -- For the 2nd year in a row, Ohio beaches rank the second worst in the nation according to a new water quality report released today by the National Resources Defense Council, the Ohio Environmental Council and Environment Ohio. Out of the 23 Lake Erie beaches, Villa Angela, Euclid and Edgewater were listed as the worst according to the report. The report bases its ranks on the number of health advisories issued for unsafe bacteria levels. But it also points out that Ohio's beaches are the most monitored beaches in the nation, which could be a reason for all the advisories and our national ranking. Read the full report (PDF format) NDRC beach rankings "We think there is room for improvement from the environmental aspect, as well as public health. It's important for the local economy," said Coby Williams of the Ohio Environmental Council. Contributing factors to high bactria levels are wildlife, weather and aging sewers. The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) has invested more than $2 billion cleaning up the water. The district estimates it will take another $2.5 billion. "The sewer district is working on projects for combined sewers, storm water management," said Frank Foley supervisor of environmental services for the NEORSD. "We really have a vested interest in water quality for the region and we are doing what we can to make it better." Whitey1
It wasn't that many years ago when Lake Erie was nasty as hell. Didn't it actually catch fire once?

AWESOME city with a lot to do. Be sure to check out some late night/early morning food spots. Bars are open later up there. Also, if you see gravy cheese fries at a restaurant-get them. they sound horrible, but are good.

FlyingBunny
Charleston, SC is very beautiful and historic. Fun shops and bars too. If you like scary stuff, take a haunted tour Myrtle Beach is fun, but can be pricey cuz it's very touristy. I go there every summer with family. If you don't mind shelling out more $$, check out Sanibel Island in Florida (it's a small island off of the coast of Ft. Myers). Staying on the Island can be pricier than staying on the mainland, but you avoid that cost of the causeway toll. It's a great place to relax, if that's what you're looking for.I'm going to Niagara Falls for the first time this weekend. Hellloooo casinos! oldschoolsdime92
yea I planned on venturing over into the national park and such but, I don't think ol bessy is going to go along. Id rather just ride down there, and not have to worry about having my truck and my bike there. So just the trucks going. I will make another trip to TN to ride before the end of summer, if anyone wants to go.
