Strictly Street
greetings“You meet the nicest people on a Honda,”Honda’s revolutionary advertising slogan, “You meet the nicest people on a Honda,” shattered the myth that bikes were only for tough guys and rebels. Single-handedly, Honda had made motorcycling appealing to everyone. By 1965, Honda was selling well over a quarter-million motorcycles annually. In 1968, Honda created a bike for the baby boomer youth market, the z50ra. Although similar in power to the z50, the qa50 was an excellent beginner’s bike, utilizing a two-speed automatic transmission. Honda made four models of the qa50 over a four year period. The example you see here is the “k0.” The fenders and fuel tank were offered in three matching colors–gypsy yellow, sprout green, and scarlet red. “From mighty to mini, Honda has it all.”Specifications:Manufacturer: Honda Motor Co. Ltd.Country of Origin: JapanEngine: 49cc, OHV, single cylinderTransmission: 2 speed automaticTop Speed: 30 miles per hourYears of Production: 1970-74Number Produced: _____Original Cost: ____ Edited October 4, 2009 by Strictly Street

ReconRat
btw, a 1968 QA50 is a collectable.Regardless of the condition, it would probably sell for 700 to 900 even with parts missing. If all the parts are there and original, it could easily be worth twice that. That would be worth more than some of the bikes we own, ha.
