thanks for making me feel old guys (doughboy helmets ?)....i turned 50 three days ago so im a little sensitive :D.....i was a gunners mate so the .50 cals were mine to fondle ;)

OK Gunners Mate you apear to have been in the CPO ranks. From one brother to another, them were the good old days.

Some of the pictures that Alab posted there was some massive gear all over him.

How heavy is all that shit?

I think its about 70lbs or so if i recall correctly. Like Chevy said, you get so used to it its like it isnt even on anymore. And i only wore ALL that crap on a few missions, other than that i was in the smaller vest you saw me in in most of the pics. I was not Army so i could get away with it.

M2 is da awesomeness.

But the MK19 really put me on swole.

Haha love it.

Never got to fire one, but have seen em fire, pretty sweet. I like the "point and spray" of the M2 though. :D
