Good ride this morning folks! Although not the longest, but one that was very heart felt. My last count was well over 120 bikes all paying homage to our fallen Veterans. Bikes of all makes - Harley, Triumph, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Trikes, Goldwings, Burgmans, Dual-sports, even a Piaggio made the ride.

We rolled out from Iron Pony with a Police escort right around 10:00 am. We headed west on SR161 to Cleveland Ave, north on Cleveland Ave, past the Field of Heros to Polaris Pkwy, west on Polaris to Q.S.L. where breakfast was served.

It was an awesome sight!! I was in the middle of the pack and all I saw were bikes in front and bikes in the rear, almost as far as the eye could see. LOUD AS HELL, too!!

The Police had the intersections blocked so we could ride right through. Traffic on both sides of the road had stopped an pulled to the side as we rolled past. Some people waved, some even saluted, many rushed to the roadside to take pictures. I even saw a news crew.

A sincere "THANK YOU" to everyone at Iron Pony, Quaker Steak and Lube, Patriot Guard Riders, Westerville & Blendon Township Police, Westerville Rotary Club, everyone that had to wait in traffic, Tim Hortons for the coffee and doughnuts, ALL the riders, anyone else I may have missed, and especially ALL the Veterans, both living and deceased.

Good ride cowboy, good ride!!

Oh, hey man!! Chris, right? Sorry I didn't stick around to talk at all. I had to bail shortly after we got to QSL. Also, I'm somewhat of a newB at this sort of thing and I wasn't there with any of the group that was around us either, so I just kind of wandered off on my own.

I agree. It was quite a thing to experience. Beyond honoring the sacrifices many people have no comprehension of, its always a good time to run through red lights with a police escort.

My gf and I went back after breakfast and spent some time, reflecting on what it all means.

Awesome ride for the best of causes. It was great meeting more people from Ohio Riders finally. Think OR had a good turn out.

I got chills as we rode past all the flags. I went back to the field after QS&L to meet up with my family. It was neat to see the wall and people leaving tokens at the base just as they do for the one in DC. Remember our service men and women. All of themn gave something, some of them gave it all.

Honestly, I've been on some big rides. And it's not often that you see people in cars stop on both sides of the roadway, to honor those that we ride for. They all stopped today, and waited for us to pass. To watch and wave as we go by.

ok ok, the one guy getting off the freeway was a dork... a little slow on understanding...

It was a great turnout. Thanks to everyone that showed up.

IronPony and QSL were great hosts. I wish we could do something like this on the 4th of July. Hmmm...

Yeah Tom - how about the ambulance coming off 270 at Cleveland Ave heading to St. Ann's? Lights and sirens blaring away and they merged right in with us!! LOL!! Who gets out of the way for who???

I'd go with Amber Lamps gets the right of way in that situation. I guess I missed seeing the guy getting off the freeway that didn't get it...

I was thinking the same thing. Glad the ambulance driver was smart enought take advantage of the stopped traffic and merge and weave with us.

I should have went this morning... I had nothing to do and it was beautiful out. Glad everyone had a great time. I know it's not a lot to just ride in their honour, but at least it shows that we respect them for what they have done for us. Thanks guys for reppin OR!
