flounder
Best advice about 2 piece suits is to get a 1 piece.. Nuff said.
Hoblick
make sure you get the right size..and 1 piece > 2 piece
MidgetTodd
The right size is the one that you think is a touch too small. You dont want to be able to have unrestricted bend all over the place movement in it.
NinjaNick
2 piece is your best purchase bikerboy. You also can take your jacket off and look normal/casual in public. I love mine. You can get a new JR GPX-Type R suit for $495 last I looked. Edited June 4, 2010 by NinjaNick

cOoTeR
I went to iron pony and bought the agv sport 2 piece suit. I like it a lot it was 350. It's no daneise but it is great for the price. I even tested mine out at gingerman when I went down. It held up great and I wasn't injured at all.
Radio Flyer
If you don't have any leathers at all right now I'd just buy a 1 piece suit and then another leather jacket for commuting. I'm torn between buying leather pants right now and buying 1 piece.
NinjaNick
2 piece comes with leather pants man with a 360degree zipper that connects the pant and jacket. 1 piece are for racers and useless for street riding and occasional track days if you even go. They're not user friendly while out in public like a 2piece suit is.

Although I've only been to the track once so there may be a down side that I'm not aware of.
alienpi
From experience, I've found that chicks dig the conformity of the 1-piece suit.
Samizzle
I've been told not to buy a 2-piece suit just so you can wear the jacket without the pants. The Jacket length is way to short to wear by itself, it looks a little ridiculous. You should go try some on before you buy any.
NinjaNick
Weird, my 2 piece jacket isn't. It goes to my waist just fine. I'm not going by what I was told though, more from what I know from owning mine. ;) He's buying a 2pc anyway from the title of this thread and the PM he sent me. CinciBusa
a* makes quality gear, but so does damn near everyone else. if you're buying leather you're most likely reasonably protected so just buy what you like, what you can afford, and what is most comfortable

Radio Flyer
My A* is a 1.2-1.4mm and it held up just fine when I went down. You really wouldn't even know by looking at it I slid on my stomach the entire time. I wouldn't have any concerns.
