It will save you quite a bit of cash.I just got a set of Michelin Pilot Power 2 CT's for $180 shipped. Local shops were quoting me over $230 for the pair, and that was with their 30% off "sale."That's the way to go if you can wait, my order was processed very fast and shipped out. imprez55 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 To break the bead:1 - 45 or less degree cut 2x4 (somewhere around 6 inches long)1 - 5ft long 2x4 1 - car or truckPut the angled 2x4 on the bead and use the longer one with the car as a lever and just pop it. ross Posted July 1, 2010 Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 a set of motion pro tire irons, wheel protectors, and dish soap is all i use. i can do a set of tires already off the bike in about 20 minutes by hand (dismount, mount, and air). obesityrules Posted July 1, 2010 Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 a big c clamp also works, tighten it down half way put some rim protectors on and go drink a beer. by the time you come back the bead will be loose. if not just nudge it a bit with a tire iron.
