Sniper_308 Posted October 31, 2010 Report Share Posted October 31, 2010 The Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on State Route 113 east of Birmingham in Erie County.State troopers said 35-year-old Jason Dodge, of Vermilion Road in Amherst, was driving a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a left curve and drove off the right side of roadway. Dodge sideswiped a utility pole and several trees before he was ejected from the bike.The motorcycle continued up an embankment where it struck several more trees then slid down the embankment and came to rest near a residential driveway. The property owner where the motorcycle came to rest reported finding it at approximately 8:30 a.m. Saturday.Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene by the Erie County Coroner. The victim was wearing motorcycle leathers and a full coverage helmet.The motorcycle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene by Remington's Towing of Vermilion.R.I.P. Fellow rider! I am sure that one of my friends that rides from that part of the state must have known him. It's a pretty small community of riders out that way. Condolences to the family.
