shittygsxr
They are EXPENSIVE unless you plan to get a group of 10 buddies together it isn't worth it. We used to go down every weekend in the summers but stopped after they started work on the dam and the water levels were down. They are probably done with the repairs but I would check with a regular. The nice boats are over $1000 per day

20thGix
http://www.houseboating.org/boat_info.cfm?id=453079458Also ask if you have to have another boat (smaller) with you. I though i heard that you needed one for safety reason's. That may just be Norris Lake. Or i totally made that up in my own mind. Im pretty sure i heard that somewhere though. Ron505
Lake Norris is about $1700 for a 4 day weekend for a 6 bedroom. It's probably around the same.
Funjunkie
Heres info for two of the marinas, and I think the rates are similar everywhere. The houseboats get pretty fancy if you want one. Some of them have hot tubs, unlimited lake water shower water and you can flush the toilet paper..lolhttp://www.griderhillmarina.com/houseboat_rentals.htmlhttp://www.statedock.com/
max power
Fishin shak aint good enough? Not for women and kids that like to poop and take showers. We can make it a group thing Shawn. I'd be down, maybe Jags, Ben, Gump and the womenz? There will be kids involved. Not sure if that would work out so well. I looked at the state dock one the other day. The pricing seems somewhat cryptic. are there docking fees? I'm assuming the prices dont include gas. How much fuel does one typically use in a week? How overpriced is the fuel in the marinas down there? What kind of hidden bullshit fees are there?
dustinsn3485
My family owns a cruiser at Grider Hill, cuts down on the rental costs. Which dock you rent from largely will depend on how much you want to spend on gas and where you want to park the boat.State dock is by far the most popular for houseboat rentals. The dock always has activities going on.Grider Hill, Conley bottom are somewhat of an equal, but on opposite sides of the lake. The dam being under repair has no effect on boating, don't worry about it.Oh and I think fuel was close to $5.00/gal at the end of the year last year. Here's links to some of the more popular marinas and their rates.http://www.conleybottom.com/houseboat-rentals/http://www.griderhillmarina.com/houseboat_rentals.htmlhttp://www.statedock.com/houseboats.htmhttp://www.jamestown-marina.com/houseboat.html#rental_rates
