Looks like one of the Dallas freeway stunters fell off...

Drivers on Interstate 20 reported a motorcycle without a rider flying by them at 100 mph Thursday night between Matlock Road and New York Avenue in Arlington.

agreed.

except after his bike passed those cars riderless, he jumped back onto it, threw off his helmet in a victory roar, and rode off into the dusk

And took off his watch because... badasses don't need to know what time it is.

Drivers report speeding motorcycle without driver on I-20 in Arlington

ARLINGTON - Drivers on Interstate 20 reported a motorcycle without a rider flying by them at 100 mph Thursday night between Matlock Road and New York Avenue in Arlington. Part of the interstate eastbound was shut down as police search for the driver.

As of 10 p.m., authorities said the search turned up a watch, a helmet and a visor. However, the motorcycle's driver was still missing.

While authorities were able to match the motorcycle to an owner's name, they haven't been able to determine yet if that was the same person on the bike Thursday night.

how on earth would you fall off and have your bike still going???

The gyroscopic effect of the wheels and engine pretty much keep the bike upright and moving without a rider. About the same as riding with no hands. Even sometimes a bike sliding on it's side will right itself back up on it's wheels and take off. It helps if the engine is revved up to higher rpms, otherwise the throttle just idles down quickly.

The falling off part just takes an error or two and inexperience.

i get how the bike keeps going... i however, don't get how anyone could just ... fall off ???

Either a wheelie gone bad, or the force of the air.

Don't try suddenly sitting up straight at over 140mph without knowing what will happen.

The force of the wind at 140 is around twice that of 120. Big surprise, it's a logarithmic increase, not linear.
