conn-e-rot
Thinking about getting a Mini Cooper S anyone have one or had one in the past?
Bad324
Never had one but driven one a couple of times. They are tiny, agile and can be fun. One of my friends has 2, one for him and 1 for his wife he swears by how awesome they are. He's had em both for 3-4 years now and other than routine maintenance hasn't had issues with either that I know of
conn-e-rot
That is what I've been reading routine maintenance is about it rarely any issues at all
oldschoolsdime92
A good friend of mine purchased one a few months back, with 28k on the clock. He's since made multiple trips to the dragon in the car, along with venturing into south carolina quite a bit. He loves it thus far. But I will say, it is british, and it will probably have a few quirks here and there, but nothing to drive yourself crazy over.

conn-e-rot
they're as german as they are british.I believe it's 99.9% german made by BMW
jbot
with the exception of the countryman, most minis are built in a UK plant. the parts are a different matter... don't know where they're from. I do know a lot of the parts are stamped "BMW" (since bmw owns mini)
