Combined Federal Campaign (http://www.opm.gov/cfc/) is kicking off in october (huge military fund raiser). Theyve asked our organization to participate in a soapbox derby to kick off the event at the acceleration ramp at Wright Patt AFB. Ive gotten a group of guys together but we're having trouble finding materials for cheap (best if free) to build this thing. Anybody know of any junkyard or scrap yards with bikes, wheel barrels, small tires, etc? Any of you guys have crap lying around you dont need? metal tubing to weld a frame together, extra fiber and resin lying around, wheels, etc?Wouldnt mind putting an ORDN sticker on it and taking pics also, if i get any support here...
