MIKE53ALI
2003 aprilia sl1000r falco with 25,000miits the best way to describe it. when I drop her into 1st at a stop the shifter stays loose and hangs lower then it should until I get up to speed, then the shifter will come back up and the shifter will be firm in 1st. then coming off the highway, trying to down shift.... the shifter would kick down but it wouldn't downshift....I have and USE the hydrolic clutchwhat could the issue be? RFM
Your linkage probably is the culprit. Should be an easy fix. I'm guessing the assembly is loose somewhere, or the adjustment bar needs attention.
bigd
limp...then firm...All sounds right with the world to me. Not sure what the issue is.

SWing'R
Sounds like the name of some band, and now coming to the stage... Limp Shifter!
jester3681
Sounds to me like something is loose somewhere - hopefully just the linkage because that's an easy fix. It ma be something inside the rans like the shifter linkage there. I'd be surprised if it has anything at all to do with the clutch.
