Before he left he put cheese in all the curtain rods, and re-hung everything. He moved out, they moved in and it took a week or so to take affect. Since the smell wasn't present when the X moved in, they couldn't pin it on the hiusband. The X replaced the carpets, no effect. Had the new furniture sterilized, again, no change. Got rid of the furniture and made her new guy buy new, no help. Long story short, she gave the house back to the X husband because it just smelled to bad, he changed the curtain rods and got his house back. So there you go.
