oldschoolsdime92
I saw a kawasaki awhile back on here, in the for sale section. I believe it was an 03. It was a naked standard, but it was really cool in the sense it had dual shocks in the rear instead of the mono shocks. Does anyone have any idea what this was? I really liked it. motociclista
You should never fully trust my memory, but my memory says that the only thing Kawasaki made in that era that had dual shocks and might be considered a standard was the ZRX1200. Cool bike and great value used. I almost bought one.Other than that, I think the only Kawasakis with dual shocks around that time frame would be either cruisers or the W650 retro.

speedytriple
I am with the zrx guess also. they started as a 1100 and then moved to the zrx 1200 before they stopped making them. Bottom end is huge on those motors peak hp is somewhere just over 105 if I recall?

motociclista
Was it that Z750?Z750 has a single shock. Even the more retro ZR7 with its air-cooled 1980s engine had a single shock.
redkow97
My 2001 ( NOT for sale)They are still in production today but they stopped importing them here in 2005. that is the only paint scheme I've ever seen them in. The blue one above is the first I've seen.that upper fairing and square headlight make it look like it's from 1992-1997. Not sure why Kawasaki never revised that.Might have sold more of them here. The FZ1 would have had some competition.
fox_racing_guy
They were loosely based on the 1982 ELR & 83 Superbike replica.Other available colors were Black, Red, Silver.
