Scruit
feeling the slop on the rod. Just grab the rod and pull on it. If it's hard then lucky you. Otherwise you'll have to work on making it hard again.
chevysoldier
You have more problems with that Jeep.
jester3681
If they have them - Complete engine from Pick-N-Pull down on Groveport Rd. will usually be under $400 with a 30 day warranty (unless they changed warranty recently) Look for a stock suspension cherokee or grand cherokee that was T-Boned - hit in the side (odds are that it was running/being driven when wrecked) Note: the Cherokees are usually urban vehicles that see mild use as opposed to wranglers the get more offroad time.^ Agreed. Plus, I can count on one hand the number of Wranglers I saw in two years at PnP and none had engines. I used to run the place.
serpentracer
btw if you throw the rod through the block you can't use it for a core return. you'll have to pay the core price in full.

Tomcat0403
whelp....mechanic confirmed, need a new engine. After the core charge it would cost me 2k to get one from quadratec...anyone have any ideas or suggestions. Options include selling the CBR and the jeep. serpentracer
for 2k you could get another jeep. lolit might be worth your while to call "u pull & pay" here in cincinnati. I think they only want $200 for engines but you have to pull it. it looks like they have some jeeps in. but they don't keep them for long. like 2 weeks and they get rid of them so you'd need to hurry.http://www.upullandpay.com/cincinnati/search-inventory Edited February 2, 2012 by serpentracer

mango_sv
http://fortwayne.craigslist.org/pts/2802972097.htmlYou would have to do some part swaps, but the block should be all the same.
