MidgetTodd
Didn't know about it being a law but every time I've been there there's been signs. Something to the effect of "sharp curves ahead trucks take alt route"

Steve Butters
Is a pick-up a truck? Probably have to take Skyway to Robinsville then up 28 again. i think a 1 ton is, but if youre pulling with a 3/4 i would think you will be ok....might depend on the state...i know in ohio a 1 ton is considered commercial, even if its private use....thats why registration is so much more on an f350 vs an f250...best bet is to call the sheriff dept in that area and ask them
myhondas
Those were just suggestions, warning truckers of the road ahead and suggesting them take another route. Now it's a law.NC passed it but won't enforce it.....TN didn't do ANYTHING to stop them. Just plain stupid !

82packer
i dont think he was confused about the 30' law...he was asking what they consider "trucks", whether it meant any trucks or just commercial trucks? Correct, last year I was thinking about leaving Fontana and taking tha dragon real early and saving 2 hours vs 165 or 441, plus alot less hills.
