DTM Brian
Tried Micro center and radio shack. No luck. I know there is a place in Grandview that makes cables. I can not think of the name of it. Looking for someone local so I can try and get the dyno up and runnning today.

Just need to ask for a DB25 extension cable (male on one end, female on the other).I can't find anyone else local that might have them. Office Max and Staples both have them, but online only. It's an old technology not used anymore.

Casper
Other idea would be try a DB25 to USB cable. Just have to know if the dyno needs a male or female connector.
jblosser
M/M, M/F, would M/USB or F/USB work, and how long does it need to be?Amazon Prime has tons, I could order and have it shipped to you tomorrow. you could pay me the whopping $10 or so whenever...Lemme know.ps: how's the laptop holding up? DTM Brian
Laptop is going strong. I could use another one if they become available. Heading to Midwest Surplus in Dayton to get a cable now.
DTM Brian
Microcenter does not.It conects the main electronics of the dyno to another control box between the drum.It has to be serial m/fhttp://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=oiQ&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&q=db25+serial+cable&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1280&bih=894&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=6455139762250138558&sa=X&ei=fSOYT__yFo6W8gSQn9HzBQ&ved=0CI0BEPMCMAELooks like the best deal: http://www.compbargains.com/_e/Connector_Cables/sproduct/10624931/Cables_To_Go_DB25_Serial_Parallel_Cables.htmMicrocenter should have them. Casper
Microcenter does not.It conects the main electronics of the dyno to another control box between the drum.It has to be serial m/fIf you say serial, some might think that can't be what they have. I could be mistaken on this, but I'm pretty sure. It's been a long time since I've messed with parallel/serial cables. A DB25 cable is generally a parallel cable (for printers, scanners, etc). A DB25 extension cable supports parallel and serial connections. So calling it a 25 pin serial cable could easily cause confusion and for someone to think it is not the same as a DB25 extension cable. FYI.
