Looks like the best deal: http://www.compbargains.com/_e/Connector_Cables/sproduct/10624931/Cables_To_Go_DB25_Serial_Parallel_Cables.htm

Microcenter should have them. Just need to ask for a DB25 extension cable (male on one end, female on the other).

I can't find anyone else local that might have them. Office Max and Staples both have them, but online only. It's an old technology not used anymore.

M/M, M/F, would M/USB or F/USB work, and how long does it need to be?

Amazon Prime has tons, I could order and have it shipped to you tomorrow. you could pay me the whopping $10 or so whenever...

Lemme know.

ps: how's the laptop holding up? I could probably hook you up with another if it's about that time...

Microcenter does not.

It conects the main electronics of the dyno to another control box between the drum.

It has to be serial m/f

If you say serial, some might think that can't be what they have. I could be mistaken on this, but I'm pretty sure. It's been a long time since I've messed with parallel/serial cables. A DB25 cable is generally a parallel cable (for printers, scanners, etc). A DB25 extension cable supports parallel and serial connections. So calling it a 25 pin serial cable could easily cause confusion and for someone to think it is not the same as a DB25 extension cable. FYI.
