I bought a dashcam for my truck and need to try it out on the road on mybike to see how it performs, if it works out well I will be getting rid of the GoPro.It is NOT a HD. It is a older model and only takes a 2gb sd card max, I think there isa flash upgrade or some kind of fix you can do to make it take a 4g but I nevertried it.It works fine and includes an assortment of misc mounts and pieces parts.I have the AV cable that came with it and I will even throw in two 2gb sd cards. I don't think I have the original manual for it but you can probablydownload it from somewhere.The camera gets just shy of one hour of video from a set of batteries anda 2gb card.I will post an official "for sale" thread after I get the chance to take my new camera for a real test spin this weekend.This was just a feeler to see if anyone would be interested in it. But, all depends on how this new one does on the road at highway+ speeds.It's not designed for this kind of use, I'm worried the wind noise will be too much.I may have to play around with covering the mic with something. They are not on thewrong side, they just don't park in the right direction. Most people, with any sense of common traffic laws know you are supposedto park in the direction of traffic. Around here, shear laziness abounds.People just park whatever way they feel like and because our neighborhoodis a private development they can't really be ticketed for it.The board considered forcing everyone to park the right way and it causeda big stink with the people here. It's easier to pull closerto the curb because the curb is on the drivers side instead of the passengerside, therefore it's easier to hug the curb without hitting it or ending up toofar from it. SWing'R Posted July 22, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 22, 2012 Sounds good let me knowOkay, I got the new camera hardwired in on the bike and have tested it out,it works well, i'm not real keen on having limited mounting options, its not likea gopro that has tons of mounts, its a dashcam with a 1/4" threaded mountso mounting is limited but I'll make due. Right now its mounted where it showsthe speedo so I'm not real down with that since posting it online basicallyamounts to admiting to speeding $50 cash and the gopro is yours, I just need to clean the bugs off the case.
