oldschoolsdime92
I'm looking at florida for our honeymoon in october. I've only been to St. Pete once. Does anyone have any recommendations ?
Likwid
I've heard Key West is absolutely amazing if you're looking to just chill.FYI, for about the same price as a Florida vacation in key west you can go to Atlantis in the Bahamas... just putting it out there. J_Copeland
Key West is amazing !!!But beware, there are a lot of gheys and drag queens down there !
BDBGoalie
Key West is awesome. We swam with dolphins at Key Largo if that is still around. Everglades are cool.Other than that its flat and full of old people.
Helmutt
Clearwater isnt bad, close to StPete so its virtually the same scenery. Depends on what you 2 want to do really. The keys are great for on/in the water fun. But if your primary goal is beach, drinks, and palm trees - most anyplace Gulfside would suffice. Screw ANYTHING on the east side of the state thats ocean related......Atlantic is a dirty bitch and looks just like a salty Lake Erie - so unless you're into Nascar or the JFK Space Center, stay west or southwest FL! Steve Butters
florida is a quick drive all year long....take the honeymoon somewhere more exotic...bahamas, aruba, hawaii, north korea...maybe a nice cruise

Steve Butters
butera.. if your paying for aruba, im down! Until then, we are just broke newly weds!lol aruba is the plan for ours....but its a gift from my gma (her time share at some fancy hotel)...so im not sure what the actual cost would be to flat out gobut even a bahama cruise, or hawaii trip.....i think you will enjoy it more florida isnt that far away, its somewhere you can drive for a long weekendif you do go though - avoid atlantic side...its a blast, but its not really "honeymoon" feeling
Pokey
Saint Pete Beach is by far my favorite, Panama City is nice too.
ohdaho
Consider miami and then combining with a short cruise? lot of good deals out there.
20thGix
What are you looking to do? Relax, party or see some sights. I think there are much better places for all three of those than St. Pete. Ive been to St. Pete a few times in the last couple years and its ok. Vacation yeah but honeymoon i would assume you would want more excitement. I would say go to Vegas. You can do everything there and the surrounding area.Vegas you can party and relax. Then rent a car and head to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. Also Fort DeSoto>St. Pete beach as far as beaches go.
oldschoolsdime92
We've talked about Vegas also.
Tomcat0403
Look at cruises out of FT Lauderdale, if you are looking to go within the next 1-2 months the prices are cheap. I like Marco Island on the gulf side. The family and I used to go there every few years.
JustBryan
stay on the gulf side if you decide on Florida. Keys good too. CD's and stool pushers are harmless. but amusing...
shittygsxr
The wife and I got married and honeymooned in cusco with a trip to machu picchu. You are going to be broke for a long time get used to it and have some fun. Sitting around drunk in florida for a week really isnt that exciting.
