r1crusher
If you're going with a T series, get a Ti. Probably your best bang for the buck in an entry level DLSR.
vw151
I agree, for under $500 you probably need to get a T1i or T2i, Great camera's I had a T2i before I bought my 7D. Virtually the same sensor. Of course then you really need to save your money and get some good glass because the kit lenses are not nearly as good as some of the at least gold line lenses or the L series stuff.
Rctaylor
Seconding the used T2i.I bought a T3i last year, and its a great starter DSLR.Don't skimp on the glass though.
4DAIVI PAI2K5
I've enjoyed my T3i with 18-55 and 55-250 lenses
mrmako777
thanks for the suggestions guys! i guess based on your opinions, what im going to do is save up a bit more for the t3i. from what im hearing, around this time of year, sellers drop their prices on the body+lenses bundles, so hopefully i can grab a kit for a good price. r1crusher
I saw some deals for new T3i bundles for just $599. You won't have to save up a lot more.

fox_racing_guy
That looks like a decent kit for the money spent. B&H and Adorama are both very reputable and where I purchase all my photo gear. They will ship it today and you will get it Thur unless it happens to be some Jewish holiday today.

Photos by Marty
Nice pick up. Once you know you want more glass, definitely do with L-series. It's pricey, but it's worth it. If you wnat to try before you buy, check out a site like borrowlenses.com and rent one out. I just added to my arsenal with a 1D Mark3. Next up is more glass.
