RSVDon
Well, long time coming. My good friend Mike has had his GTO just a little longer than I have, been good friends for years. Just over a year ago we talked about taking his car to the next level. It would be good as a "holy shit" car for his shop, and he's always greedy for more power anyways. So this is the end result.2005 Pontiac GTO, Phantom Black/Red Interior, T56Yes, I moved a BUNCH of stuff.LSX blockEagle rotating assembly from my last motor. 4" strokeWiseco pistons 4.125" boreTrickflow 235cc 6-boltsVictor Jr.239-247 114lsa comp camHarland Sharp rockersMelling oil pump1-7/8 - 3" double slip merge collectors on headers I made.72-68 dual ball bearing Turbonetics turbos3" downpipesStill have A/C.Here's some more pics as the build progressed.LSX BlockOne manifold doneTest FitRotating stuffs.More test fitting.Ceramic coated hot-sides.Block all dressed up and shiny.First mock-up Edited January 18, 2013 by RSVDon

RSVDon
27 actually. Down from 29 on the old motor. Stretched gears in the T56 combined with a 3.08 rear gear = 1500 RPM @ 70 MPH.
r1crusher
LOL! You gotta go taller with boost.

RSVDon
Well, you could do that with the stock driveline ratios easily. The longer gears in the newer setup just means you can get it out of that double overdrive gear. 4th stops at 167 MPH I think. At 7000 RPM, it makes the earth shake. I don't remember if its 9.5 or 10:1. Nothing stupid compression wise, just throw more boost at it.
