C-bus
http://www.khou.com/news/texas-news/...189539281.html GLEN ROSE, Texas -- A former U.S. Navy SEAL who gained recognition during the Iraq War was one of two people fatally shot southwest of Fort Worth on Saturday, KHOU 11 News has learned.Sources close to the investigation identified the former SEAL as Chris Kyle, author of the New York Times bestselling book, "American Sniper."Kyle was shot point-blank while helping another soldier who was recovering from post traumatic stress syndrome, officials said. The murders happened at a shooting range near the town of Glen Rose, about 53 miles southwest of Fort Worth. The Erath County Sheriff's Office issued an alert for the arrest of the suspect, who was later identified as Eddie Routh, 25. Officials warned that Routh was traveling in a Ford F-150 pickup with large tires and rims. They said he was believed to be highly trained with military experience.Routh was reportedly later captured in Lancaster, south of Dallas.Officials said the second shooting victim was a neighbor of the suspect. All three men lived in Midlothian, Texas."American Sniper," which details Kyle's 150-plus kills of insurgents from 1999 to 2009, was published in 2012. The book's cover referred to Kyle as "the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history." The sniper served in every major battle in Operation Iraqi Freedom and became so well known that the insurgents even had a bounty on his head.Kyle was married and had two children. He moved to North Texas after retiring from the Navy in 2009. Edited February 3, 2013 by C-bus link

MidgetTodd
Yes sad. I will say though, with no disrespect to the dead, can you imagine the set of balls it would take to pull a gun on a guy like Kyle?

Pokey
After all he has been through and all he has accomplished, what a terrible way to checkout. Hope the shooter gets royally buttfucked in prison everyday, I can't for the life of me figure out what is wrong with some people.

I will say though, with no disrespect to the dead, can you imagine the set of balls it would take to pull a gun on a guy like Kyle?I guess you could even apply that to Jesse James. madcat6183
RIP, truly a sad day. The mental issues will unfortunately never be made light over the gun issues people have.
MidgetTodd
No balls, to shoot a man in the back. Who was trying to help you and many others.I've not seen any details yet on how it happened. Even behind his back, Chris Kyle would have more situational awareness in his sleep than most people have in full fight or flight mode. Would be very interesting to know details I guess you could even apply that to Jesse James. Friends you keep, I guess.I've not seen that it was a friend, if that's the case, makes it even more senseless
