  1. hey guys my name is Sagar, currently own an Evo 9 with basic bolt ons. I known a couple people on here through various crazy bar nights, so i figured i might as well see what CR is all about. Only been down the track twice so far this season, with a best of 12.9 at 110. Pretty sure there's more in her, but that'll have to wait till i get a clutch. At the moment im a welding engineering major at The ohio state university, hopefully will graduate in 2 years. Im also a student consultant at American Showa up in Sunbury, get to test pre-production suspension on a shock dyno. Started out with an 07 Civic Si, which i tried to auto-x whenever i could, but eventually i hit a dead end on what i could do to the car before i had to start dropping alot of money into a fwd platform. So i ended up selling her and started saving for an evo http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll154/ihockey123/CRIntro.jpg http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll154/ihockey123/CRIntro2.jpg Got the evo in december from a dealer in Orlando, so i dont have any decent pics of it so these will have to do for now. Had to tape her up for the drive home, which ended up being pointless after a few 4th pulls a couple weeks later. Car as it sat came tuned, but with tires worn down to the cords and a set of horrible lowering springs. Slowly working toward getting the car where i want it, but not quite there yet http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll154/ihockey123/CRIntro3.jpg http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll154/ihockey123/CRIntro4.jpg http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll154/ihockey123/CRIntro5.jpg Took her to slomo to get a baseline so i knew where i was starting before parts started coming off. http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll154/ihockey123/EvoBaseline1-12-11.jpg Definitely made more power than i thought, which i came to find out was due to the 27lbs of boost and running really lean up top. I think ive covered everything, if you have anymore questions or if i missed anything feel free to ask

  2. Hey whats up all. Met at Columbus Cars and Coffee past 2 weekends, was told I should join these forums. So I did, and here I am. As of right now no performance mods, since BMW is giving me free maint till 100k miles I am going to sadly suck it up and go with it until I get the car paid off. Then its open game. As of right now done a few visual things to the car, so if you see someone driving around Cbus with LED halos, good chance thats me. Anyways, here are some pics. The day i bought her http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/69440_604175231228_39700435_34390613_3128649_n.jpg http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/69006_604175026638_39700435_34390604_2372264_n.jpg How she looked in my garage a few weeks ago http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/200136_624021045058_39700435_34759491_7627678_n.jpg bad pic of the new halos, at some point I will get someone with a real camera to take some pics. http://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/208731_655921665958_39700435_34871940_4063884_n.jpg

  7. Its how you can get the additional funding on the mods. Besides, gives you an excuse to take her apart in the garage and not feel bad about not taking her out on the town.

  8. Been riding since 1979. I like to ride everything but prefer off-road the most. I've competed since '82 in Scrambles, MX, generic SX and occasional Short Track (sucked), enduros and trials. I pretty much like all styles of motorcycle but choppers & scooters the least. I also enjoy all sizes of bikes & motor types but prefer singles and twins. My current rides...

  13. I will put this story to rest - Monty has been MIA anyway so I don't really care. Part 1 At some point during a normal relationship between a boy and a girl, Monty decided the time had come to reveal his sexy physique to his girlfriend at the time. He ever so discretely snuck into the bathroom at his parent's house one lazy afternoon, took off his clothes (which are nicely folded on the vanity counter in the picture - a little easter egg if you will...), and used cutting edge technology at that time to snap a hott sexy pic of that bloated gut, late 80's bush, and average sized half-boner. This picture message was eagerly sent to his unsuspecting and very lucky girlfriend. Part 2 Upon recieving this multimedia text message masterpiece, his potentially excited girlfriend had an unforseen reaction to this courting method. Overcome with laughter, she simply forwarded this message on to many friends and acquaintences they shared so that they may also have this magical ray of light brighten their day. Little did she know that that this small action would snowball into hilarity of biblical proportions for years to come. This same picture, unedited, would be posted on local racing sites - craigslist's infamous "men for men" section - as well as resent to Monty and friends to resurrect the experience like it was being enjoyed for the first time. This picture has recently been resent with a celebrity guest, which has only been seen by very few so far...

  22. Street riding & track riding require 2 different & slightly overlapping skill sets. The track will take you closer to the limit in the realms of cornering, braking, & acceleration. This is because ,at a given speed of riding, the street requires much more of your attention in dealing with cagers, highly variable traction surfaces, & curves that you haven't memorized (among other things). You could jump in & do a track day your first season of riding but you might be overwhelmed or stuck in a group so slow you might as well be riding on the street. I think it would be better for the new rider to at least ride on the street for a season before heading out to the track. Just my 2 cents.

  28. There are tons of features on these cars. Also on the On Board Computer (OBC), there are tons of "easter egg" hidden features when you push certain buttons in combination, in addition to logging fuel milage, temp, average speed, trip metrics, etc. Heres a sick site where you can learn to program your BMW OBC to do tons of cool shit: http://www.openobc.org/
