Well you should come then. The advantage of knowing the course should offset the disadvantage of doing it with an M&P.2 points

In light of the recent "Why Do You Carry" thread...I picked up an early Christmas present. Sig P238 Equinox .380 Why only a .380? Simple. I bought it to carry. I know what I said before...but you fuckers got me all paranoid and shit...and God forbid I not be prepared! So, in case anything happens tonight that makes the Zombies come out, and as long as my shots are well placed, you can count on me to take out 75 of them! Or maybe 74...saving the last bullet for myself!!1 point

Okay, you admitted you don't e-bay, so this is a very fair question... I didn't do it to be a troll... here's why I did it: Because at the time, I had a small business-type thing going on where I was buying, fixing up & reselling apple laptops. If three people wanted that laptop, and it ends up selling for $600 instead of $500, then it means the "worth" (AKA the most you can get for an item) is higher. The other two people don't get to buy a cheaper laptop, so they have to spend more to get one. If I'm selling laptops... then I want then to be worth as much as possible. It doesn't "screw with the market forces" on eBay so much as direct them in the way I want them to go. Some more details about the auction: It was a new seller with zero feedback. The selling town was listed as "Shadytown" or Shadyville Ohio, or something or other. That may have scared off some bidders. Having NO feedback and selling your first item for $600 is also a little risky for the buyer... I took that risk, and this time, it paid off. As for me "having no intention to buy" it, well, I knew there was a chance I might win, and I was fully prepared to pay for it, buy it, and use it. And I did. And I still use it. It was actually a great deal, as I wanted a new unibody macbook w/ an intel processor. Now I have one. It was sort of a win/win situation for me... Either prices are higher making my wares worth more, or I get the macbook I want without having to justify actually voluntarily spending the money. Yes, that is deranged logic, but sometimes that's how I shop When you use double-quotes, it should be to repeat what someone actually said, or at least to paraphrase what they said. What you have done is mis-quote me. I did not drive up the price "just for fun." I was an English major, and I'm vaguely offended & mildly amused that you'd pervert punctuation in an attempt to use it against me. Now that I've addressed your question, are there any others? (nothing personal, but your question really is invalid, based on the fact that you've misquoted me). I'm fine to defend myself to the bashers... It's business, not fun, to bid up the prices... And it's smart business. It's not like profit margins on eBay are very wide, after all (at least as they related to me & mine).1 point

Good PSa poster would be for a makeup expert to do a version of this type of picuter but showing the injuries that this exposed skin can suffer. Road rash over the legs and arms, the shirt and shorts torn revealing more road rash, broken ankle hanging at an improbable angle, toes and fingers broken and missing and a caved-in skull. I think that would be a pretty powerful poster.1 point

No offense... but that is a dick thing to do. I hate when people get in on a bid just to drive the price up on people that are genuinely trying to get a good deal on an item. I don't even understand why you would want to do that, I mean if you are curious about a reserve price just email the seller.1 point

I made 4 of these masks. The one you see is the second made one that was used as a backup. (It was not the best one in my opinion lol) They all started out as pumpkins! I covered them in a healthily layer of paper mache. next I took crayola air dry modeling clay to scultp out the eyes and bridge of the nose I also used it to kinda round he forehead out. Then I paper mached it again. Next I went and got cheesecloth that I soaked in plaster and covered the entire thing twiceto give it a good structure. Finally I took Plaster of Paris and mixed 1/2 a cup of it with water and smoothed it over wetting it down some to get the head shape right. Let each layer dry before wet sanding itdown to what you see above. It also glows underblack light around his eyes and nose and.mouth but there were no blacklights around.1 point

In Sept, I bought an '09 Strom w/10k mi in a private sale from a guy in IN for $5300. Has lots of farkles (Sargeant seat + stock seat, Madstad bracket, SW-Motech bash plate and crash bars, luggage rack, new BS Battlewing rear tire) and reasonably clean. Prolly about average price--not great deal, but OK. Yer prolly a little high, but I have no idea if you are obligated to buy after winning the bid. On a bright note, the Wee is a wonderful bike! Tons of fun to ride, engine has plenty of juice (altho a little agricultural sounding), prolly hang with many sport bikes in the twisties, and adaptable for either around-town errands or week-long touring trips. Not REALLY an off-road monster because its a heavy l'il beast and has pretty limited ground clearance. If you do end up with it, just ride the wheels off it. You're gonna love it once you try it! Edit: Didn't see that it was the 1000 Strom. Prolly right on the money with your bid. Pretty low miles for an '08! You won't likely turn it for a profit if that's what you wanted to do, but as I said, they're great bikes and built like tanks. Ride the wheels off it.1 point

Don't worry. ebay motors auctions are not binding. If there is no mechanism to retract the bid then contact the seller. Tell him you go another bike instead. And don't bid on something you don't wanna buy.1 point

Yep, I just checked my messages, the seller had responded to my mail earlier saying it was okay and to go ahead and retract the bid All ended well, although it was a good deal, I didn't have the money-1 points
