The problem is the all the different major media production companies are holding on to an archaic business model that doesn't work in the 21st century. Instead of trying to adapt and redesign their revenue models to embrace new technologies and the changes in society, they are trying to hold on and force everyone to do what they want. Even if something gets passed, they will ultimately lose this war. People will always find ways to get shit they want. They need to adapt if they want to survive. Markets are consumer driven by definition. If you try to force the consumer to want something, you will lose.1 point

Your misspellings aside, how exactly do you blame the current president for gas prices? It's oil speculation, and Opec that set the prices. You claim the president has never visited a site, then when proven wrong you simply brush it off and question his motives. How exactly is a president overriden on a military issue? He is commander in chief, the unquestioned head of the military. He can only be overriden by congress. He HAD to make the call or the mission would have been aborted, so quit claiming that he got overriden. Who's taxes are up? My taxes aren't up, my taxes are as low as they've ever been, and I would bet dollars to pesos your taxes are lower than they've ever been as well. As to the second Amendment comment, do you really think your little pistol and rifle will save you if the military drives a stryker down your street, or a full tactical team decides you are a threat, and raids your house seal team 6 style? Get real...1 point

It's not that I don't like Rick Nash, I love his skill and what he can do behind other players. But it's seriously time to shake up this team in a major way. Nothing will show that more than trading the biggest asset. I really don't think it could happen, because I don't think they'd pull the trigger, but I'd love some sort of deal with Anaheim. Where the Jackets could land one of their top line guys, along with Visnovsky or Fowler, and a top pick. That would shake things up. The other thing I want to point out is that the Jackets have never had a lot of knowledgeable hockey minds in the correct positions. Getting Craig Patrick was huge, that's a big start. But getting more guys like that and changing the mindset of this organization is going to be top priority.1 point

I moved to Cincinnati 4 years ago and moved back to Columbus a year later...it was still too damn long in that city. It's a big $hit cookie with a few choice chocolate morsels scattered about. Even when you're in the choice parts, it's hard to forget it's still a big $hit cookie. BTW, I was in Blue Ash which was nice, but go 5 miles in any direction and you're surrounded by assholes.1 point

1) The tickets will stand because you admit to being in violation of the law at the time. 2) I'd be looking at neighbors complaining rather than a cop with a vendetta. 3) Just because other people didn't get tickets doesn't make yours invalid. In fact if you told the cop; "That guy is parked illegally over there why didn't you ticket him?" then the cop may just do so, telling him; "MadCat asked me to ticket you." 4) Just because you didn't see a ticket doesn't mean they weren't ticketed. They may have taken the ticket off*. 5) Not what you want to hear, but comply with the law and you won't get tickets. Regardless of it's a neighbor or cranky cop, take away their ammunition and they can't bother you. * My brother did parkling enforcement for a while. One guy got a ticket and came storming out of a nearby store accusing my brother of lying in wait (he wasn't) and knowing that he was in the store (he didn't) and ignoring the 4-ways hazard lights that were flashing (doesn't override parking laws). Then the guy took the ticket off the windshield, spent a minute calling my brother every nasty name under the sun and threatening to beat him up etc and then said; "Well you can't ticket me twice me so I'm just going to leave it here while I do the rest of my shopping." Well, he was only half right. The traffic wardens' instructions were that they should not put a second ticket on a car that *still has a ticket attached to it* because the owner probably hasn't been back to the car to see the first ticket so can claim that he got two tickets for the same offense. BUT by removing the ticket he proved that he was aware that his parking was illegal and by leaving the car there after removing the ticket he was now comitting a new offense. My brother radioed for another traffic warden to come by and give the guy a second ticket. Guy was beyond pissed but lost in court.1 point

What a compelling and well thought out argument... If you think it is bs, tell us why. You talk about substantiating claims... Yet you dont back up your claim at all... Whats up with that?1 point

I'm selling one of my R/C cars http://columbus.craigslist.org/tag/2816847575.html I just picked up my 4th RC last week and unfortunately this one has to go. It is a slightly used Traxxas S-Maxx with a 3.3 motor that has had less than one gallon of 30% Nitro run through it. If you want a 2wd monster truck that will pull wheelies on demand then this is the truck for you. The stock wheels and bumpers have been painted black and the truck will come with two bodies, the stock one and a Slash Silverado body. It will also come with a number of extra parts. Blow is the list of upgrades and spare parts including their price on Tower's website: Waterproof Traxxas high torque 2750 steering servo - $39.99 Pro-line 09' Silverado body - $29.99 RPM A Arms $11.49 RPM Skid Plates - $20.69 DuraTrax Aluminum Front, Read and Middle skid plates. $60.99 Roll Cage - $29.99 Five new O.S. LC4 Glow plugs $27.45 New EZ start wire harness - (just installed) 2 blue glow plug wires (one new, one used) 4 new spur gears 2, 70 and 2, 72 2 new bell clutch gears 1 20 and the other 22 Exhaust extender New Revo air filter and spare stock filter Spare bulk head 1/3 gallon of 30% Nitro You could not buy the upgraded and extra parts that are coming with the S-Maxx for the price I'm asking. Everything works and here is a video I took tonight of it running. It needs nothing, just put the Nitro that comes with it in the tank and have fun. http://youtu.be/DKxJHWCaAEk http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u57/playwithlinn/2012-01-24_21-39-15_523.jpg http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u57/playwithlinn/2012-01-24_21-34-35_105.jpg http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u57/playwithlinn/2012-01-24_21-36-03_437.jpg http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u57/playwithlinn/2012-01-24_20-54-58_291.jpg http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u57/playwithlinn/2012-01-24_20-55-30_550.jpg http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u57/playwithlinn/2012-01-24_20-56-16_683.jpg-1 points

Yeah, I'm not new to forums, but new to CR. I know a handful of the people here from OR. Let's see. I've always been into cars, I work at a shop near Westerville bending wrenches, I own a 84 Z28 that's been about a 12 year long project, still in process. I also ride my little wimpy Ninja 250 every chance I get (when it's not too cold) and work on my Interceptor 500 more than I ride it. I also like to shoot. I'm curious how many thirdgen owners there are around these days, that actually appreciate them! I used to be very active on a thirdgen specific site, specifically the DIY Prom (tuning, custom code) board. Ok, I'm done, blabbing...-2 points
