Long time off and on rider, sometimes racer and generally believe motorcycles are cool. Had some great ones over the years and rode a lot of other ones. Previously owned FZR400, VTR1000F SuperHawk, RC51, CBR1K, Ape RS50 (still have), Ape RS125 (still have). I just started racing the mini bikes NSR50/NSR63 with OMRL. Raced in GLRRA for 3 partial seasons on the superhawk years ago. Kids are finally old enough I have more time to ride. Looking forward to reading, posting and riding with some of you. Chris

I think the government needs to get out of people's lives and parents need to get back into them. Too many parent's don't punish their kids, don't teach them respect, don't teach them right from wrong, and give them everything they want. These kids grow up thinking they are the most important beings in the world and no one else matters. Furthermore, they believe there are no repercussions to their actions; no consequences when they do something wrong. That is the problem. Stop expecting the government to magically fix all your problems.

Best way I've ever seen this situation handled was a guy changed the locks on the house, and informed her (it cut out any posability of her getting a copy of the key made before returning it to him). When she came home, he reminded her she didn't live there anymore because he's only looking for people who stick by their word, and wanted her old key returned and to establish a date that would be best for her to rent a uhaul and remove all of her items from his house, because he didn't want to have to go through the court system, and wanted to remain civil. I have to admit the whole situation went over really smoothly because dates and terms were set and agreed upon. He wrote everything down and they both signed 'the agreement' and so they were both accountable to the other on dates and times. I think your biggest thing here is to kind of do a similiar thing. You're the guy who owns the house and should be in charge, just set terms/dates and expectations on those terms/dates. No reason you guys can't get out of this and still be friends in a few months, don't expect to go out for beers next Friday though, and make it very clear that once she is out there are no second chances, because you know second chances turn into third, and fourth, and fifth, and so-on, which is not conducive to a effective relationship so you don't want to even go down that road. You'll find someone else because you're going to be fine.

And yet throughout the entirety of this nation's history, I'd argue throughout the entirety of modern human history, people have had differences of opinion over the same texts/laws/ideas/art/color/time of day/sloths/orangutans/breakfast cereals. This is expressly the reason why the Court system came into being. You can't lock down a law or piece of legislation, delineating exactly what you mean and how you mean it on paper, especially since some things that would be applied to it later can't possibly be imagined while the law is being written. Intent is always open for interpretation. If you would like a system of laws that is rigidly enforced with expressly delineated viewpoints that allow really no room for interpretation, I welcome you to take up a Orthodox religion like Orthodox Judaism, or a more orthodox version of Islam, like Sunni perhaps. I understand that Sharia law is pretty well locked down, as is the Torah after all these thousands of years. It is because you and I have differing opinions and have a dialogue about them that we can truly understand what the meaning and context of things are. That's why informed discourse and civil, informed debate are so important to the future of the country, and of Western society as a whole. If your opinions and beliefs never get challenged, then you're basically in an echo chamber and never grow as an individual.
