I'm not going to drive all night just to get there 8 hours before check in and try to ride tired. Its a vacation so I intend to take it easy.Still can ride Thurs by leaving at 7 and you still have Fri sat and sun. Riding tired there is a recipe for disaster imho

As for sportbikes, ninja 650, fz6r, sv650, gsx650f would all fit the bill. Cruisers I would look at another Shadow, Vstar 650 or 900, or a Vulcan 900. Standards you can't go wrong with a Bonneville, Versys, Monster 696, or something along those lines.

Di2 is sweet. Got to spend ~100 miles on it a few weeks ago. Today I finished the Mohican 100k in 7:14. Crazy long day, ~11,000 ft of climbing. I felt really good and could not have asked for better weather.
