  2. I'm Kyle, just moved up here form Louisville, KY to take a job at Honda manufacturing. I'm getting ready to dig into a full rebuild of my 99 civic si. The car made it 90k miles on 11lbs of boost, making almost 300 whp. Pic: http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n158/kylebloomer/kylessi16yq-1.jpg I have a GSR block that will be getting sleeved and bored to 84mm. Build highlights include manley turbo tuff rods, cp pistons, pro 1 cams, supertech springs/retainers, aem meth injection, and updating my s200b to s300v2. If anyone is interested, I could start a build thread to document everything. I'm planning on building the longblock myself. Slowmotion will be doing the removal and reinstall of the long block, because I don't have enough space to do it at my apartment. I purchased the GSR block from a member who pointed me to this forum. I hope to get into Columbus' local scene. As a side note, I also enjoy my saltwater tank, here are a couple pics just for giggles. http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n158/kylebloomer/IMAG0123.jpg http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n158/kylebloomer/IMAG0181.jpg http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n158/kylebloomer/IMAG0119.jpg Hopefully the above will be enough to get me in, if not, pay attention to this while I sneak in undetected... http://images.wikia.com/villains/images/c/c4/TrollFaceDancing.gif

  5. The things I wish upon him are beyond what I can even begin to type, so I'll just say that I am happy with the verdict and I hope that if/when they do appeal, the outcome is the same, maybe worse. I hope he has time to suffer when he get's put in general population, because it will happen, it's just a matter of time.

  6. It was an immature dick move, but understandable considering what these peoples lives have been like under anti-gay policy. To put it in context, think of it like this: The folks that make the rest of the group look bad. Also reference Willem DeFoe in Boondock Saints. You use the term when you want to disrespect an individual asshole, or group of assholes.

  9. Gotta disagree with this. My dad was law enforcement and 1of my best friends is a Columbus cop, and I hang out w/ him and his cop pals quite a bit, and I think they're generally good people. I agree they talk trash - but so do I and I'm a pretty decent person most of the time. I also think much of their "attitude" is more bravado than anything else. Not to justify any cop being an asshat, but much of the time they're dealing with people who are the dregs of humanity and/or just butt fucking stupid. Constantly dealing with douchebags may make some cops somewhat jaded - it would me - but I don't think that makes the majority of them assholes. IMO the perception of cops is very similar to the perception of bikers. A person may not think much of bikers in general because of the actions of a small percentage and, similarly, a person may not think much of cops because of the actions of a small percentage. The majority of both groups is much more similar to the "general public" than dissimilar, but those aren't the ones who make headlines or stick in our memories.

  14. I didn't spend a lot of time on it, but I think that graph here is illustrative as inflation was inherent in the price/ bbl. It doesn't matter, cuz we've illustrated that we'll pay whatever they charge. I do think that tighter (and more numerous) regulations and the aforementioned lack of refining capacity (despite more vehicles on the road) are key issues. Lower prices = higher demand which the refineries can't keep up with. No matter how much crude they have coming in the front door, they are at capacity. The amount I pay monthly for fuel makes me nauseous. No, I'm not buying a Prius.

  15. Yeah, basically what he said as well as a lack of refining capacity in the US. Oil prices are correlated, but not directly related to gas prices as gas is a product of raw oil. Between that and speculation of oil supply and demand in a future a contract we will continue to see this disconnect. Example, speculators think China will boom and prices jump on 6 month futures contract. We pay today for what we think will happen later. China doesn't boom and supply is ample. Windfall profits are had due to the discrepancy. So don't worry and ride the bike everywhere at 40mpg:D Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk 2

  16. greed IS capitolism, you invest your capitol and squeeze as much profit as you can out of it... period can't blame companies for being greedy when that is what drives our economy, plain and simple... if you want an economy NOT based on corporate greed, that's communism, and that is corrupted by elected greed (something we have enough of already)

  18. I will look at the truck driver first, using his/her own mirrors, before passing. Usually I can see him/her see me. Doesn't work at night. But if I go through the same motions, there's a good chance they sees me. There's been cases of trucks backing up over bikes/cars also. Always leave enough room and plan to scoot to the side if you have too. Please note that there's a fairly big blind spot on the even the left side of vans and SUVs. (To go with the one on the right side.) Their mirrors will show them nothing. The driver has to look down at you right beside them. Most van/suv drivers don't know they need to do that.

  19. I was bored one day, and rode to Cleveland and did a route with a buddy who was hauling vegetables up there in an 18 wheeler. I was astounded at how retarded most motorists are around 18 wheelers, and further amazed by the limited visibility from the cab of those trucks. it would be quite easy to run over a small car or bike and never even have seen it prior to the crash. Needless to say, I am much more respectful around big vehicles than I used to be now.
