The NAACP among others are promoting civil action against Z. Although exactly what they hope to gain beyond actual press exposure is not really clear. The same tactic was used against OJ but he had cash. Z does not. So even if they win a civil action against him there will be nothing to "collect". The verdict coming out on a Saturday night was a little unexpected and falls out of the regular news cycle Riots so far haven't happened. Something to do with the police being ready I suspect. Unlike other "Race Riots" where they were caught off guard. Although I'm sure this isn't over it is at least the end of 17 months of disinformation and misinformation and talking heads talking about what the other talking heads are talking about.2 points

Sharpton is a complete imbecile and a detriment to not only the black race, but the human race.2 points

Another year, another great day of racing. I didn't take as many photos as I have in years past, but I was still pretty happy with how several of them turned out. I may post more as I'm still going through them.1 point

Yeah, the courtroom should have been closed to reporters. The fact this trial was televised live was a travesty.1 point

That's the hard part about this case: everyone involved made wrong decision after wrong decision. Z should never have gotten out of his car, Z should never have followed, M should have called the police instead of his GF, M shouldn't have confronted Z. People get hung up on these poor decisions, but none of them are illegal and the jury's job isn't to decide who should have prevented this, but who committed a crime and they decided the evidence showed M assaulted Z. I can't blame Z for being concerned, I can't blame M for being threatened. If I had some stranger following me around in a neighborhood at night, I would be scared as shit.1 point

My son comes home form Afghanistan this week and he has about 1 more year left in. I'm trying to convince him to GTFO when his time is up because of shit like this. Soldiers are treated so poorly these days and it keeps geting worse while, as mentioned, illegals and lazy bastards continue to get handouts left and right without any problem at all.1 point

You did well Chevy, more people need to do that, its something I would have done. I'm current active career firefighter and don't like when I see folks wearing fire dept. apparel. I know its in support, family, friends, maybe like FDNY and such, Cleveland Fire actually sells their T-shirts at fund raisers, but sometimes they like to act like you said as if they were actually a firefighter. It, to me, would be like wearing an FBI or a police T-shirt. Number one, you make yourself a target, either from someone with an axe to grind or a nutjob robbing a place. And, number two, people think you are representing that particular dept., and if you are a moron, then you make that dept. look bad. If I'm wearing anything with my dept. writing on it, I consider myself "on duty", as everyone is looking at me and will remember if I do something they may not agree with. So I take off anything with my depts. name on it if I'm off duty. Slightly different than your story but in the same vein I think.1 point

Oh! Well that's good. Because you know we were all waiting with anticipation to see what the uber liberal-tarian retard thought of the verdict.1 point

Listened to the WOSU radio interview on the topic. Very interesting. White Castle also built a similar home and I believe they still do produce prefab buildings from porcelain.1 point

Which part of the second amendment gives one the power to provoke a confrontation then assert deadly force when one realizes they bit off more then they could chew? I agree that the evidence was lacking and the prosecution was a joke, but I certainly don't understand how this feels like an emotional victory for anyone.-1 points

What the fuck? I said I agree with the verdict. Clearly intellectual capital and reading comprehension skills are not prerequisites for "Super Moderator" status. I'd think the latter would at least be recommended. *Edit... Way to Ninja edit your way out of that one.-1 points

I never said I support TM either. Your capiticy four nuance within a perspective is about as significant as Not Brian's. My point is that many of you have convicted Trayvon of guilt (Being on top, jumping Zimmerman, etc.) with exactly as much evidence as was used to aquit Zimmerman, which is to say: not enough. Zimmerman was not found to be innocent, he was found to be not guilty based on a lack of evidence. That same lack of evidence would aquit Martin if the Zimmerman had been armed with the skittles instead (and if the justice system was truly fair). Your Neg really broke my heart.-1 points

Really??? Everybody looks cute and innocent at that age. Maybe they should have made up some posters of Zimmerman at that age and had rallies to support his innocence. lol-1 points
