You peeps focusing on Obama need to remember that section 215 was passed in a repub controlled house. Until you do and hold them just as accountable you are part of the problem. I would argue more so than the politicians. You keep reelecting them.3 points

Well good for her but she didn't really get to feel what a motorcycle is all about. A trike leans the wrong way same as a car. I'll be taking a ride alone leaning the right way at 8i, next week!3 points

Hey guys, I know a lot of you already know me from my years on here both as a street guy, STT instructor, and road racer. I just wanted to announce my sponsorship on here for my business. I am a personal financial planner for Skylight Financial Group. We are partnered with MassMutual and MassMutual Investor Services, LLC. I know often times people wonder what a financial planner actually does, and I would love to answer anyone's questions. Here's a real quick breakdown of services. Comprehensive financial plans- These are done through an entire team dedicated to processing and analyzing clients' financial lives in order to put together a plan of attack to reach each client's financial goals. Income protection- disability and life insurances Investments- Anything from 401k rollovers, brokerage accounts, college planning, IRA's, mutual funds, annuities, managed accounts, and many other ways to secure clients' financial futures and retirements. Taxes- Finding ways to minimize tax exposure Wealth Accumulation- Create and maintain adequate cash reserve strategies Estate Planning- Planning for being ready in case of a tragic loss, setting up a legacy, limiting inheritance tax exposure. This is only a small fraction of the type of business I can do for any prospective clients. My personal experiences are mainly with firefighters, police officers, and small business owners; however I am currently taking on new clients while growing my practice. There will be a banner up sometime soon, thanks to Ben. Feel free to call, email, or message me with any inquiries you may have for yourself or someone you know.2 points

So I know I do it, well used to, and I know probably 98% of us do, but I am going to give everyone a little story of my recent first hand experience and maybe it will end up saving someones life, or at least helping make everyone a safer driver. As most of you know my wife is prego, not just prego, but officially full term, 38 weeks along and ready to pop. Anyways, had our normal weekly apt yesterday morning and everything was normal, still shooting for August 14. Fast forward to the drive home last night, I get a text at 6:15 that she rear ended someone on I270 by Roberts Rd. Of course I'm freaking out, get in the car and rush over there, find out she's pretty okay, 25-35 mph, but car is F'd. I mean not like totaled but pretty good front end damage, front crumble zone worked perfect, along with hood crumble zone, but it did break the radiator and I am sure other things. So once we get it on the hook and head to Grant to be looked at I find out the reason it happened was her phone rang with a text message and she looked down to read it, looked up, boom. Now I have told her countless times she tailgates, and to back off, but then toss in the text alert and game over. I know I have texted often while driving and had been making a pretty good effort at stopping, mainly because I don't want to kill anyone, my kid, myself, my wife, my dog, the list goes on and on. Anyways, that easily could have happened last night, including my unborn son. With that said, the next time you think you really need to text while driving, think of me, my wife, and would could have become of her and the baby. Rant over but thanks for listening. And for the record Grant Labor and Delivery is legit, super nice people, remodeled, and the resident OB Dr. last night was nice on the eyes and pretty young.1 point

Can't believe these two consented to a search. Can't believe this is what our country has come to either. http://reason.com/blog/2013/08/01/innocent-couple-gets-visited-by-feds-aft And again I restate: Obama, the Dems and the Repubs and everyone that voted for them can kindly go shoot themselves.1 point

[rant] Its your turn, become a fanatical anti-texter. Pay it forward. could be thats why you WERENT hurt? I grew up in an era where it was ok to toss trash out the window, a time when "oh, he's not too drunk to drive" What changed all that was social consciousness and UNacceptance. [/rant]1 point

I have found that if a speedo is off due to calibration it produces a percentage error not a MPH error. This can be due to gearing or tire size changes. Although ultimately is does make the MPH wrong. So if your gearing doesn't match what the speedo thinks it is and its off by say 10% then at 30 MPH the error is 3 MPH and at 60 MPH the error would be 6 MPH. That sounds like what your describing yours is doing. In looking at the website it doesn't look like the unit cares about the actual gearing but just the speed difference, actual to what the speedo is reading, the speedo says 60 and the GPS says 66. Now how to make the unit correct as in what buttons to push or how to enter the data then "what Hellmut said". The website did have a couple contact options so I would think they would help you with what to do with that unit. If you don't have a gps or access to one, back in the day where the public didn't have such things I would time myself between mile markers on the interstate. So at 60 MPH it should take 1 minute between each mile marker. Take a stretch where you can maintain 60 MPH and time yourself. Do more than one pair of markers. If it takes 66 sec between the markers your speedo is 10% slow if it take 54 seconds the your speedo is 10 % fast. Hope that helps!1 point

That he did, here is a copy of that too for those interested. Here is a copy of the letter I just sent to my congressman, Steve Stivers: Congressman Stivers, My name is Dale Royster and I am a Hilliard resident as well as a small business owner. I am a licensed federal firearms dealer and have been in business since 2010; my shop is actually only a couple of miles from your home office. I am writing to you today to make you aware of a problem that many legal gun dealers like me are currently experiencing with government red tape and needless bureaucracy. One of the aspects of my business is selling title 2 (“class 3”) firearms such as machine guns and suppressors to collectors and law enforcement officers. As you are likely aware, the National Firearms Act of 1934 levied a tax on the transfer of these items. In the past, this has been accepted by most people in the gun collector’s world as a necessary evil. When a customer would like to purchase a suppressor from me, I have to order it from my distributor like any other retail item (assuming it’s not in stock). At this point my distributor must file an application to transfer the item to me that used to take a week or two to be approved. This makes no sense as they should need nothing more than to verify my license is still valid! Once the item arrives at my store, the customer must come in and fill out the application to transfer the item to themselves. This process at one time took around 60-90 days if they were extremely busy at the NFA branch. In the meantime, the dealer has to store the item in a secure area (such as an expensive safe) until the transfer is approved. The customer cannot take his property until this form is approved. Currently, the approval times on form 3 (dealer to dealer) transfers are taking months! On the form 4 transfer (dealer to customer), the transfer approvals are taking anywhere from 9 months to a year. One year to do what is basically a standard 4473 NICS background check! Anyone not prohibited from possessing a firearm can own these items; a special license or extra scrutiny is not a requirement of the law. This is UNACCPETABLE and it puts an unreasonable burden on my business in several ways: First, I have difficult time selling merchandise because I have to convince a customer that waiting for his property for over a year is worth it. Second, I have to store the property that they have already paid for in some cases over a year. Would you feel comfortable spending well over a thousand dollars on an item that you could not take home for a year? Back in February we had a sale on AAC suppressors and offered excellent pricing because we were able to buy in bulk. I wrote a check for $22,000 dollars to my distributor, as well as a sales tax check to the state of Ohio. As I write this letter, not a single one of these items has been approved for transfer to my store. One of my biggest customers is a local security contractor who operates overseas. Because I have been waiting for these suppressors so long, my customers are beginning to ask for refunds. They have already been waiting for 4 months to fill out transfer paperwork that will likely take a year to process. This means that I have to pay back not only the $22,000 I sent the distributor, but I have to pay back the margin the customer paid. Not to mention I have to wait on a refund from the state of Ohio for the sales tax paid on these purchases. My business is suffering because the ATF will not take the steps necessary to process paperwork in a timely manner, and I am forced to invest more and more of my limited capital in purchasing safes to store these items for long periods. I cannot stay in business when more and more of my customers are becoming dissatisfied with me because of this poor public service. Keep in mind that this problem is affecting gun dealers and their customers across the country; I am by no means suffering this problem alone. My hopes are that you can investigate this problem yourself and find a solution soon. Trust me when I say that between your district and the district of Congressman Tiberi, there are MANY people who buy these items AND VOTE! Sir, we appreciate your service to our country and the State of Ohio; Your constituent, Dale Royster1 point

I'd prefer to home school my girls, but at this time that simply isn't an option. Perhaps in a few years. My oldest is starting kindergarten this year.-1 points
