I will be back on 2 wheels at the end of the month after I move to Saipan!!!! I got another flying job and this time it is out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean island hoping along the Northern Mariana Islands. As soon as my season ends here in Maine I will be back in Ohio for a week then hoping on a plane to move out there. My buddy is out there right now and moving back mid October at which point I will be buying his scooter off of him. I'm a little nervous making such a huge move but the idea of 70-80 and sunny every day makes it a little less scary.
For the last 3 years I've been primarily over at the www.cb1100f.net forum. Learning, rebuilding and modding my 82' CB900F. Thought I'd check out a forum of riders in my own back yard. Always interested in talking shop. If it has two wheels and a motor, it's always good conversation. Although if you have a scooter... I don't want to hear about it... haha. Looking forward to seeing what everyone's riding, modding, building, etc. Take care. EofA
I posted it a while back but as a few of you know I moved to Maine for the summer to fly skydivers. So far I have only had one day actually flying them because it has rained for a solid week straight. With that being said I fucking love it up here! The day I did get in flying was amazing. The airport isn't to far from Baxter state park and mt katahdin, the start of the Appalachian trail. My baby View from my office The rain finally broke today and we didn't have any jumpers so I went in search of a moose. The mountain ende up having fresh snow on it. Found a moose!!!! And moose poop! Sorry for the shitty iPhone pictures. My first big paycheck will go towards a nice camera. I will post more pictures as the season goes on. Thursday I get to go white water rafting. With all the rain the rivers have been crazy so it should be a good time.
Signed up for Saturday and the 20 on Sunday.....will switch to the 40 if Ron shows up and Craig doesn't bitch out. If I've got a competitive pace going Saturday, I may add a 600 sprint.
Dude I am 99% sure you bought the house we were looking at. Is it a walkout ranch, finished basement, 5 acres backing up to a creek on the one side of the property? PS Bike looks sexy.
Two more russians ships roll into the area this morning, adding to those already there. Its heating up, and obama is acting like a bully who never got his ass handed to him. Putin on the other hand....he's a bit more of a serious player than the hawaiian gifted one is. The “peace president” is about to embark on his third military adventure, this time in Syria, without having learned the lessons of his botched efforts in Afghanistan and Libya. He hasn’t even learned from the Bush's mistakes — which he mocked with such delight. what a rube there is an ancient chinese curse- "May you live in interesting times"
Guess what? Your family member serving in no way excuses you from your obligation that you are ducking at any opportunity. Plenty of us joined up when we had responsibilities and obligations here at home or with our family. Try another excuse. They let you enlist at 17, and even in a deferred status if you are in High School. Try again. You have no ground to stand on when talking about serving in the Military. You sign up and join the fight and you can talk all you want. Otherwise just remember the rest of us that raised our hands when you were to chickenshit to do so will always be better than you.
