  1. Been on the fence about what my next bike was gonna be, thought a Super Tenere or an FJ-09 might be in the cards. But I just could not get the latest 650 V-strom out of my head, so I went out to the Pony on July 3rd and bought the only XT which they had only had on the floor for 4 days. Kyle was so awesome to deal with, and the sale and overall process was pretty painless. I am quite the fan of the Stroms, and thought it was finally time to go with the 650 version for a change. In short......I am loving it, the ole trusty 1000 will be going up for sale soon. Less is more for me the more trips I take and the more I ride, and I think I may have this girl for a while. Well that's horseshit, trying to attach a pic and it keeps having upload error.

  2. Yes, I'll be ditching tapatalk soon most likely. The new forum updates coming greatly enhance the mobile site.

  3. He just seems quicker because my engine is going out.... (even though it is). It helps he has been doing less of this: the night before trackdays

  5. What no "guess thread" Seriously the 650 v strom looks like a hoot to ride. Rode some miles on jerrys previous gen of v strom. It's very nimble that it scared me. It's just falls into corners. And seating is like perfect upright with visibility all around.on the V u actually ride a trip and make it a journey and just not ride a road

  6. Finally I am back close to the OR family. No more slabbing and iron butting 700+ miles a day to ride Seo roads. Always felt like ohio has my family near by coz of you guys. This might have been a main reason to keep coming back. Almost all decisions I take is influenced by motorcycling and I don't know if I will regret those in future. Job visa other papers still not ready yet, I hope everything falls into its place soon. Till then have some free time to keep riding Am back in Poland ohio, close to Youngstown. If any one in this area looking to go for short jaunts let me know. The slab down route 9 to good roads seems like a dream after slabbing down from Troy michigan This weekend most will be having family obligations, but if any one free to ride please PM me.

  7. Yup. Decent food, decent price. However, I just learned that the owner of the Chatterbox has ties to the family and word is going to get out that I've never stopped there... I'll have to make up for that this next trip.

  9. Every time you say "that's my next bike," I know that bike will never see the inside of your garage. What happened to the Victory or the Wing and 2 up with the misses?

  10. That's not grease. Its sweat. Saying things like: freedom, liberty, our creator, America, and asking us to honor the military is making him physically ill. He's about to hurl. "I miss America"

  11. i was searching for a seat for my street glide, and i have a very particular butt, i have never really found a seat that i was completely satisfied with and always ended up having hot spots and some soreness at the end of a 300 mile day. after some searching and taking a chance, since there isn't many reviews on these seats, called Riders Discount and ordered a Danny Gray BigIST solo seat right before my trip to deals gap a few weeks ago. threw the seat on and off i went, 449 miles of highway down and holy shit, no soreness, no hot spots, i was in heaven. only complaint was seating position initially, it sat me just a bit higher than my stock street glide seat, but after 1200 miles the seat broke in and it sunk down a bit, not enough to be same height of my stock seat, but i was happy enough. unfortunately i thought i could by a passenger section for it, and it turns out i could not. So i had to call Riders Discount again and ordered the 2 up version of the seat the Danny Gray TourIST. this was a few days before my wife and I went on our week long trip. outcome was exactly the same, no sore ass, no hot spots, nothing and she reported the same. She was pretty amazed at how great she felt after a long day of riding. intact we did a 665 mile day on our return from Ocean Isle Beach NC and again same thing, we felt great! now the IST is Independent Suspension Technology, which is just a fancy way for them saying the cut out holes in the seat pan where your ass bones land. Thus creating a void so you can fully bottom out on the seat. and there is enough open area beneath the seat pan where this works out really well. the foam they use is stiff, but not Corbin stuff. its what i would say is an in-between of a mustang seat and a Corbin. all in all, this was a great purchase, and i was really surprised how good the seat is. so now i have a solo and a 2 up that both look great, and function really really well. they are actually not priced to bad either, if you get the vinyl version, which is what i did.

  12. Had Raceday have not have had a clap out engine he would have crushed any opportunity I had at passing him. I have learned that one must use a blitzkrieg approach with Ryan Dan and Brandon. I concur with Ryan's observation that running different tracks has helped immensely with improving my lap times. My only wish this season is to perform the " double stuff". On Craigy pooh but he is to busy riding his dirt bike to bring my dreams to fruition.
