No experience with the VFR unfortunately, but from what Cycle-Ergo shows me, the VFR is canted forward about twice as much as the FZ1. It's got clip-ons, where the FZ1 is handlebars, so that'd fit. The FZ1 leans me forward slightly but it's much closer to a UJM than it is a race-replica... in fact, the rider triangle is almost exactly the same as the C14 Concours. The FZ1 is 510lbs wet, so it's not exactly a lightweight in the sporting world, but it's manageable, especially on the move.

Well the weather forecast just made me cancel both days. Won't be going to this after all, hoping to make NC Bike instead.

I have some good roads around me to I like the Z for that and auto X. I should really sell the GTO but idk... had it a long time. I had some friends that had an e60 M5 and they absolutely loved that car.

haha I dont care, you can take it out as long as it has the same amount of gas in it when you get back, whenever that is. Its an 08 350Z, just my daily driver and auto x car. I also have single turbo GTO that has been sitting ever since I started doing track days.

Congrats bud! I am now a parent myself...Had a little boy 2 weeks ish ago, born on September 2nd.

FZ1 is way more comfortable than the VFR. I have had both and although the Honda is a great relaxed machine compared to a super sport, the FZ1 is all day comfortable, faster, and handles just as good out of the box.

You work hard and you play hard, I always liked that about you. For someone who worked so hard and sacrified so much to get where you are, a little reward like this shouldn't even cause a blip in your conscience radar, but that's what you get for being a good decent human being who was raised right. Congrats on the toy. I highly recommend that you buy a pre-prepped track bike, but that all depends how much track activity you'll be seeing. they're much easier to fix when crashed (track plastics are relatively easy to repair and MUCH cheaper to replace, and the bodywork comes off much more quickly. If you're only doing 1 or 2 max a year, then it's probably not worth it. But if you're going full addict, then it's worth every penny. have fun!
