I got fitted for a knee brace by orthopedic surgeon, and I have been test driving trucks. I will finally be able to start putting some miles in the dirt bike soon.

Looking to take about a 4-5 day ride in July. Havent made the dates firm, but, looking for riders that want to go along. Am staying at airbnb places along the way. Not gonna be a fast trip, take our time and gawk. Using as much back roads as possible, interstate when only one left. Leaving Cincy and heading to Memphis, staying a night, hitting Beale St, blues and Bar B que. Then heading down the Mississippi to Baton Rouge to spend the night, get some Cajun food. Just a heads up that brace will probably beat up the bike a bit. Not that you probably care too much. It is a dirt bike after all. I just know mine has wreaked some havoc on my quad and has put holes in my riding pants.

As IP said good man and smart man. I've been there. Last year shortly after I swapped out the plastic on my bike my daughters' 4H advisor stopped by to have them sign some papers. She placed her folder on top of my tank and as she was shuffling through it I could hear the dust and grit writing her name in it. By the time I thought to say something it was too late. I know my eyes about popped out of my head but I never said anything and just buffed out what I could and called it good.

Thank God. I have no room left for another bike, but I really considered this.

Never use that crap! i have been cleaning with muriatic acid and then electro plating (galvanize with zinc). If you have a welder and not afraid to make a simple zinc solution, it's very easy. The results are a new tank that won't rust for a very long time if ever. Will do a step by step with pictures if there is interest. Here is a moped tank that my son and I did recently... it's been a year and still looks like new!

I like the looks of the bandit, but I tend to love all naked bikes.

@Isaac's Papa, how is it that you bash the Kat 600 for being slow and heavy, and then call the bandit 600 a cool bike, despite it using a nearly identical motor but being slower and heavier?
