  12. Jacob I never did the camping thing with my 600rr but I did ride 2000 miles in 4 days last year with a buddy and his Harley tourer. I just explained to him there would be times when I was going to be out of sight for him but I'd wait up at the next route change. He understood and I believe he had just as much fun as I did. I had a blast and l'm sure you will as well. We'll have to get together prior to your trip and put in at least 1 long day in SEO to help make sure your in shape and don't need that whole bottle of aleve.

  15. CL is getting to be a back alley hole where anything goes. For example, "clean title" apparently means there's no kitchen table stains on it. I've got to ride along and check out a few in the last two years, and people don't know or care if it's a salvage title or a bill of sale, or even if the vin matches the machine they're selling. Question them about any discrepancies and it can get shitty in a hurry.

  19. That was probably the BT021s that came on the C14 stock and were GARBAGE according to most of the original owners. BS discontinued them with the replacmebt 023s and replace the 023s with the T30s and now the T30 Evo is available too. But recently they brought back the 023s which is very confusing.

  20. Sounds like a well thought out and accurate conclusion to me too. My ass never leaves the seat my shoulders usually stay square with the bike and i probably do lean on the tire to the apex then fucking race bike out. If you see my ass leave the seat or lean into the corner chances are I went in too hot, that's my escape route and i don't use it too often. It's the way I've always ridden and like IP said I really am in my element there. Only other man i know of that rides that way and impresses the fuck out of even me was @bambam. That guy would dive into a corner and body position looked like he was just strolling down the freeway. And you would be behind him thinking "how the fuck did he do that and make it stick?" Folowed him all around the gap the one year when he was on Isabella and I enjoyed every moment of it.

  21. Yea been there done that. Using 2 to 3 sets every year I've tried every A spec, GT spec and touring set up their is. I'm to the point where I'm buying tires on price alone because I know 3k later I'll be doing it again. So far the Stones T30 has given me my best bang for my buck on front and rear I can almost get a second rear gone before the front is too bad. Next set is Stones 023s because got the set for $160 delivered to my door. Looking for even wear now not milage, milage is a mirror illusion on my bike and I'm OK with that. I won't pay premiums for some brands to get slightly better milage so price is my new tire shopping marching orders and price alone.

  23. Bike: about same HP, yours about 100 lbs lighter, and I would bet yours has better suspension than the connies almost 10 year old design. Me: at one time was 100 lbs heavier than you and I pack heavier for trips I'm sure and your riding style is so much different than mine. So it's like comparing apples to onions almost 250 lb weight difference, modern vs antique suspension and Rossi vs evel knievel Kind of like Jim and his White Whale on tractor tyres vs ricky Carmichael on knobbies ;)

  24. Yea I'm one of those guys that checks his pressures ALL THE TIME. Always ballooned up to 42psi. Yea I really don't care if I get 2000 or 6000 miles out of a tire anymore as long as it wears even.

  25. Changed primary fluid in the evo. Knocked the dust out of the airfilter element. Checked the other fluids, Good. Checked air in the tires, warmed it up and BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF IT!!!!! Gawd I needed that!

  27. And there we have it. No viable alternative. We are close but until we do have that alternative we need oil. Now, do you want it from Canada or do you want it from Iran? Which brings us back on topic. #ThanksTrump for approving the pipeline so we don't send billions of dollars to people that want to kill Mags.
